Worship has been a part of Charity Gayle’s life since she was a child. From watching her mom direct their church’s choir to directing several herself by the age of 16, Gayle quickly embraced worship as a beloved staple in her life. Now, as an adult, Gayle uses her musical talents to write and sing her own songs to the Lord. Her passion for praising Jesus with her whole heart beside other believers has bloomed into a beautiful musical career. Today, Gayle celebrates the Lord’s worthiness of praise by leading worship with her husband, writing worship and gospel blended songs, and spearheading a 24-hour prayer and worship movement called GatherHouse (charitygayle.com).
I Believe
With a gentle melody and heartfelt lyrics, Charity Gayle praises God for who He is when she sings I Believe. With every word, Gayle declares the hope we have in Jesus and the trust she places in God’s faithfulness. Over and over again, God has proven Himself true to His Word. Whether in the Bible or in our lives, His promises never fail us. And in the moments when we can’t see God moving, those promises are where we turn to fight against our doubt.
The Lord is the one person—the one place—we can always turn to. In our joy and in our pain, He is there for us and ready to guide us along His ways. From hanging on a cross to whispering peace into our hearts, the Lord remains unchanged in His nature. It’s because of His steadfastness as well as His deep love for us that we can proclaim I Believe as we cling to Him and wait for His solutions to reveal themselves.
