Every day brings new challenges and joys into our lives. Some days are easier, and some are harder. However, both the easy and the hard days also give us new opportunities to seek after God. As you drive through the changing season of summer to fall, keep your dial tuned here to KAMB. You’re sure to hear great music like Fall On Me by NEEDTOBREATHE.
NEEDTOBREATHE first began when brothers Bear and Bo Rinehart performed their music locally in Seneca, South Carolina. After college, the pair joined their talents with Joe Stillwell and Seth Bolt to form their rock band. The group produced their music independently for a few years before gaining recognition from Lava Records in 2005. The band recorded their first studio album in the UK after signing with additional labels. Since then, NEEDTOBREATHE has released 9 albums and received 15 GMA Dove Awards. The band has also appeared as guests on most network television shows, been nominated for both Billboard and Grammy Awards, and experienced an increase in fans during the pandemic.
The band’s success speaks to their lyrical and musical expertise as well as their hearts for God. For nearly two decades, NEEDTOBREATHE has provided audiences with God-honoring praise songs that have stirred listeners and spoken to their experiences. Their latest hit, Fall On Me, is no different.
Fall On Me speaks to the nature of our relationship with God and how He cares for us through every circumstance. The Lord is our one constant even when everything around us collapses. With Him, we don’t have to live under our fear, stay in isolation, or question our self-worth. God is never going to banish us from His presence or leave us to face our hardships alone. In Fall On Me, NEEDTOBREATHE redirects our attention from our circumstances to our Savior. Because of Jesus, we don’t have to walk alone. He’s the one who speaks truth over us, the one who covers us in light, and the one who catches us when we fall. Whether you have people to support you or a safe place to turn to, Jesus is always ready to step in with you.

You were there to pick me up And tell me I was good enough It doesn't matter what I've done You pull me closer The highs and lows and in-betweens You're the one that's there for me When I hurt and when I bleed You make it better You make it better You will always be You will always be The one that I can call The safest place to fall For me When I can't stand When I can't stand You always find the best in me The time is hiding underneath Every insecurity That I can't cover I can leave them at the door You never need me to be more Than who I am if I am yours And I am yours now I am yours now You will always be You will always be The one that I can call The safest place to fall For me You will always be You will always be The one that I can call The safest place to fall For me When you feel a little lost now Don't remember who you are now You can run into my arms You can fall, you can fall on me I ain't ever gonna leave you So don't keep another secret Oh, your tears aren't a weakness You can fall, you can fall on me When you feel a little lost now Don't remember who you are now You can run into my arms You can fall, you can fall on me I ain't ever gonna leave you So don't keep another secret Oh, your tears aren't a weakness You can fall, you can fall on me You will always be You will always be The one that I can call The safest place to fall For me You will always be You will always be The one that I can call The safest place to fall For me When I can't stand When I can't stand
Our God is the one being in our life that we don’t have to hide from. He already knows the struggle, the pain, the fear. He waits for all of us to turn to Him in surrender and to give our circumstances over. As NEEDTOBREATHE sings in Fall On Me, we can run into His arms because He will always be there to catch us. Whether you’re in a season of great joy or deep sorrow, our Lord is near and He’s got you.

Let KAMB ease your worries while you get back to school ready and enjoy uplifting music and programs, now if someone can tell the fall weather to join the program! As you go about your week, keep your ears open for I Believe by Phil Wickham!
Phil Wickham raised in Southern California with his siblings and parents who were worship leaders at their church. Wickham at 13 began leading worship after feeling the need to make faith his own. After graduating from Calvary Christian School in Vista, California, Wickham decided to pursue a career in music. Throughout his career, Wickham has released several albums and attention-grabbing singles. Some of his greatest hits include “Living Hope,” “This is Amazing Grace,” and “What a beautiful name.” As a result Wickham was nominated for two Grammy Awards, an Amercian Music Award, a Billboard Music Award and sixteen Dove Awards four of which he won! Wickham continues to release powerful music that many of you probably sing during worship on Sundays, as a result his latest single, I Believe, is already gearing up to be another fan favorite.
I Believe is Phil Wickham’s new released single from his upcoming album of the same name.
“There are so many searching for truth, meaning, belonging, purpose, hope, fulfillment, peace and healing,” Wickham passionately stated about his inspiration for ‘I Believe.‘ “I have found all of these things and more in the person of Jesus Christ. I think the world is desperate to see and hear people full of hope, joy, love and confidence telling their stories about how Jesus saved and changed their lives; about how he is the best thing they have ever found, and he will be the best thing anyone will ever find. My song, “I Believe,” was written to shout about Jesus from the rooftops. Something that we as believers can unify together on and say with joy in our hearts that we believe in the mighty name of Jesus! I can’t wait to sing this one with you all. I’ve never put more time, effort and prayer into a project, and I couldn’t be more excited to share it with you all when it releases on Aug. 18!”
Wickham uses his song to remind us that believing Jesus is our foundation is the only way to go through life, with peace, love, and happiness! I Believe reminds us not to be ashamed of the gospel. That Jesus Christ is the one who saved our lives and loves us unconditionally. Wickham does a fantastic job of mixing worship music, with an upbeat tempo. It makes you want to dance and shout from the top of your lungs! I Believe is sure to be at the top of you playlist while you are on your morning run, cleaning the house, or jamming out in your car, tune in to KAMB and blast Wickham’s newest hit!

When the weight of the world and all its negativity gets you down, you can turn to the hope of Jesus Christ always and in all ways. As the summer heat waves roll across California, we hope the music at KAMB rolls across your hearts. What better way to relax away from the sun than worshiping our Lord? (We couldn’t think of one, either!) So, do yourself a favor and take a few minutes to reflect on the Lord’s faithfulness no matter where you are today. One of the best ways to do this is to listen to Praise You Anywhere by Brandon Lake.
Brandon Lake was born and raised in South Carolina and currently lives there with his family while serving as a worship leader. He released his first studio albums in 2015 and 2016, but his popularity exploded through his collaborations. Lake’s first co-written song that gained traction was “This Is a Move” which he released with Tasha Cobbs Leonard. The project landed him the Dove Award for song of the year in 2019. Since then, Lake has worked with other artists such as Elevation Worship, Maverick City Music, Brooke Ligertwood, and others. Each opportunity has resulted in powerful worship full of heartfelt praise and stirring lyrics. Some of his most popular songs include “Graves into Gardens,” “Talking to Jesus,” and “Honey in the Rock.” He was nominated for several Dove Awards and received two of them following his work on these songs and more. Lake has also released his own albums, House of Miracles, and his latest single, Praise You Anywhere.
Praise You Anywhere powerfully reminds us to give God our praise in every circumstance. It can be really easy to offer God our joy in worship when things are going well. But Lake reminds us that we are to set our minds towards praise even when we don’t want to. His message is immediately strengthened through the opening lyrics in Praise You Anywhere. Lake references famous Bible stories of great of peril and faith as moments of greatest praise. Whether we find ourselves in the fire like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, in a lions’ den like Daniel, or before a giant like David, we are to praise our Lord. Most of us haven’t faced such dramatic threats as these, but we have all battled against confusion, disappointment, and heartache.
Rather than using his song to chastise the believer, though, Lake uses it to encourage. Praise You Anywhere pulls us away from the shadow of our miseries and into the light of God’s faithfulness. It reminds us to position our hearts in praise during the best of times and the worst of times because our God is Lord over them all. Our seasons vary and some of our joys may fade, but our God never does. Instead of focusing on the bitterness of life, we should fix our eyes upon Him and His unchanging nature. When we do, we remember all the good we’ve ever seen our God do and say we’ll Praise You Anywhere.
