KAMB Artist North Point Worship brings great worship music for today’s church. These artists do an excellent job of blending gospel and contemporary music to reach the generations. North Point Worship is best known for its 2015 single, “Death Was Arrested” featuring Seth Condrey.
North Point Worship, formerly known as North Point InsideOut, is a worship band formed out of North Point Community Church in 2012. The group is a collective of worship leaders, songwriters, and creatives from North Point Ministries in Atlanta, GA. North Point Worship is signed with Centricity Music. With a similar mission as KAMB, they want to inspire people to follow Jesus. Their heart’s desire is also to equip the local church with songs that exalt the name of Jesus.
Their current single playing on KAMB, “This is My Song” is from their 2022 album, Our God Will See Us Through. This song is led by Heath Baltzglier and Capitol Christian Music Group artist, Mac Powell, former frontman for the GRAMMY-winning band, Third Day. We love the way this song brings to mind the great hymns of the church. And it gets you singing along with them, “Because He lives, this is my song!”
“My great grandparents, my grandparents on both sides and my parents were all gospel singers. I was raised and saturated in old gospel music and hymns growing up,” shares Balltzglier. “At the beginning of the pandemic, so many of those old songs began resurfacing in my soul again and anchoring my heart to hope. That’s where this song comes from.”Heath Baltzglier
“From the moment Heath sent me ‘This Is My Song,’ I knew I wanted to be a part it,” adds Powell. “Having strong roots in worship music and being on staff at Church of the Apostles in Atlanta, I’m excited to see how this song is used to encourage the church and the body. I’m honored to be a part of it with Heath and my North Point friends!”Mac Powell

The voice of KAMB Artist Mac Powell has been heard over the airwaves for decades! Yes, KAMB has been around for that long…in fact we’re 54 years old ourselves, but that’s another story in itself. Mac Powell was lead singer of the popular Christian rock band “Third Day” which was founded in the early 1990’s. IN 2018, the band decided to go their separate ways after evaluating what each member had going on in their own lives. This has allowed Mac to focus on the second part of his career as a solo artist. He comments: “Even though I’ve been doing this for a long time, for me this is a new direction,”
KAMB Artist Mac Powell continues: “It’s me starting over. So, therefore, there is a sense of a new creation. It was a new process in the writing and in the recording process… I don’t have the same guys from my band playing on the record. There are different musicians and different producers that I’ve never worked with before. And there’s something exciting about that.” He encourages listeners in his audience to embrace what God has planned for us, because the Lord has so much to offer us in His plans for our life. A lot more than simply settling into the comfortable parts of life and watching it pass us by. To avoid staying in this rut, Mac has “three medicines” to offer.
Take Your Medicine!
Mac’s “three medicines” are musts in his daily life that help him lay his spiritual foundation each and every day. KAMB Artist Mac Powell shares his daily regimen:
“One is the scriptures, the Bible,” Mac said.
“One is God’s Holy Spirit – and you really receive that through prayer, and seeking Him through prayer and listening for him – and the third thing is the body of Christ, the church.
“When I’m in communion with those three things: the Word, the Spirit and the church, I’m a different person. In a good way, in a better way.”

Because we want to celebrate Christmas, let’s listen to this new song! You can watch the Lyric Video of the new original Christmas song written and sung by Mac Powell – Jesus Christ Is Born – below.
About the song, Mac said, “A fun fact is I was born on Christmas day, so I have always loved Christmas, the month of December, and that God sent his Son to earth for all people. The story of Jesus is not only told on Christmas morning but it is also told from the beginning of time. From Genesis to Revelation, we read about how God’s spirit spoke through the prophets and his word to set up the greatest story ever told.”
CHORUS Jesus Christ is born Jesus Christ is born Let all of Heaven and earth rejoice On this Christmas morn Jesus Christ is born The Savior of the world Let all of Heaven and earth rejoice Jesus Christ is born The Spirit told the prophets And the prophets spoke the word That word was spread throughout the land Prepare the way of the Lord And the angels told the shepherds And the shepherds bowed to pray Then the angels and the shepherds and the wise men sang This song on Christmas Day CHORUS The disciples shared their stories And the Bible brought the truth That preacher spoke those words to me And I’m singing them to you…oh Jesus Christ is born Jesus Christ is born Let all of heaven and earth rejoice On this Christmas morn Cause He died upon the cross And He conquered death and sin He rose up from that grave And He’s coming back again CHORUS
Luke 2:1-20 – Prophecies were fulfilled, the Angels praised God and the Shepherds rejoiced!
Acts 2 – His disciples tell the story of God’s salvation
