KAMB is listener supported, which means that our operational budget is covered primarily by listeners. Businesses partner with KAMB as well, and we’re taking the month of February to appreciate them and the owners and employees of those businesses who also love the work of KAMB.

Why does APG Support KAMB?

APG Solar is a local, family-owned business that has partnered with KAMB for several years. Owner/CEO, Brent Jerner, and his crew provide energy solutions for Central Valley homes, businesses, farms, and off-grid sites through solar power. So why does Brent partner with KAMB? He says,

Working Together

As you listen to KAMB, you may have noticed there are no commercials – that is, you won’t hear businesses advertise their goods and services. You won’t hear about an item on sale for $19.95 or about 1.9% financing available, a retailer having the best service or a call to shop at one place over another. KAMB is licensed as a non-commercial radio station, which means we’re not allowed to “advertise” like other radio stations do.

Thanking our Business Partners

However, KAMB is allowed to briefly thank and acknowledge businesses that join with our listeners in making contributions to KAMB. In fact, just over 11% of KAMB’s budget was provided by our business partners. That’s an important piece of our budget, allowing us to accomplish more outreach in the central valley.

During the month of February. KAMB will be highlighting some of the businesses that “underwrite” the cost of KAMB doing what we do. We may not be able to advertise these businesses on the air, but we can invite you to thank these partners when you visit them. When you stop by one of our business partners, be sure to tell them you heard about them on KAMB, and that you’re grateful for sharing your values of ensuring KAMB continues to serve the central valley by telling people about Jesus.
