KAMB artist Stephen Stanley known to your ears for his hit song, “Rest in the Father”, but we are excited to introduce you to a bit of a new sound with his new single. “Whatever It Takes,” is a strong gritty song that went viral on TikTok, quickly claiming 1.1M views. He is the second-largest TikTok audience of all CCM artists.

He grew up the son of a preacher who loves the movies & his grandpa’s Bar-BQ every Thanksgiving. At the age of nine, the Atlanta, Georgia-based artist learned to play his mother’s guitar after suffering an accident that rendered him deaf in his left ear, quickly uncovering an innate musicality and remarkable gift for melody. By age 13, he’d added piano and drums to his repertoire, followed shortly by songwriting and producing. Over the last decade, Stanley has honed a distinct and dynamic voice as a musician, bringing both raw emotion and a profound sense of purpose to everything he creates.

Like many people in our world today, Stephen has struggled at times with mental health. He has used his music to shine a light into those dark places in his life where he can find his way out again. His music reaches out to everyone who has struggled with their shortcomings and leads them to the comforting presence of God.

Whatever It Takes

We doubt ourselves, carry memories of failures past, and concerns of repeating them, but “WHATEVER IT TAKES,” reminds us that even when we find ourselves mere steps away from the failures we fear, God’s hand is there to pull us back, setting us on a safe footing, where we can start again.

Stephen told, Lindsay Williams in an interview,

“I think songwriters write about how they see the world and how they want it to be. I hope when people listen to my music, they can forget about all the bad things going on for three minutes. I hope they can think about how God is in control and understand that our problems aren’t permanent.”
