You may not be familiar with the name Sons of Sunday, but as a KAMB listener, you are already familiar with many of the group members in this new collaboration. Joining together, Steven Furtick, Brandon Lake, Chandler Moore, Chris Brown, Leeland Mooring, and Pat Barrett have decided to write and produce God-honoring music together. Ranging from pastors, worship leaders, singers, and songwriters in each of their gifts, Sons of Sunday is packed with spiritual leadership and God-fearing men. Don’t miss their introductory song to KAMB, God Did.
God Did
Over and over again, God has proven His faithfulness to His people. From the Israelites to modern day Christians, the Lord is with us. We may not wander a physical wilderness or be asked to cross through a literal ocean, but we all know what it means to face something we don’t believe we’ll overcome. And yet, every time a giant enters our lives, the Lord provides. That’s what God Did by Sons of Sunday is all about. Every time we doubt, fear, or believe we’ll fail, God brings us through.
God Did is a powerful song of praise and reflection. The lyrics are written as questions of promise followed by responses of truth and faith. For every “Who…?” sung, the Sons of Sunday boldly and joyfully declare God Did! This is their testimony, and it’s yours and mine, too:
Who opened your prison doors?
God did, God did
Who dried up your ocean floor?
God did, God did
Who did everything He said?
God did, God did
Who raised you from the dead?
God did, God did
The Lord is the One who shows up at every turn and leads us through and out of whatever we face. God and God alone is the Promise Keeper, Savior, and Deliverer. He does not falter, and He does not forsake. Just look at where you are today and ask yourself, “How did I get here? Who delivered me from my past?” I’m willing to believe the longer and harder you look back on your life, your answer will be just as clear as that of the Sons of Sunday: God Did.

Lyrics
If you’ve had water in the wilderness
If you’ve ever been pulled up out the pit
If you made it through and it makes no sense, yeah
That’s how you know it was Him
If you’ve got a Savior who broke your chains
If you’ve got a Maker who made a way
If you’ve got a Holy Ghost in your veins
Then praise Him like you’re not ashamed
Who opened your prison doors?
God did, God did
Who dried up your ocean floor?
God did, God did
Who did everything He said?
God did, God did
Who raised you from the dead?
God did, God did
Anybody in here can testify
If you’ve got a story how He changed your life
If you’ve got a hallelujah, let it fly
Sing like you know the Most High
Who came in the nick of time?
God did, God did
Who snatched you out of the fire?
God did, God did
Who healed you of your disease?
God did, God did
Tell me who slew all these
God did, God did
God did
God did
For how You saved my soul
For how You made me whole
For how You paid it all
I can’t thank You enough
I can’t thank You enough
For those mountains You moved
For those shackles You loosed
No one did it but You
I can’t thank you enough
I can’t thank you enough
For Your body and blood
Your love never gave up
Here’s my hallelujah
I can’t thank You enough
I can’t thank You enough
I can’t thank You enough
I can’t thank You enough
(No, I can’t thank You enough)
I can’t thank You enough
I can’t thank You enough
Who opened your prison doors?
God did, God did
Who dried up your ocean floor?
God did, God did
Who did every little thing He said?
God did, God did
Who raised you from the dead?
God did, God did
Who gave you another day?
God did, God did
Who gave you a brand new name?
God did, God did
Who rolled away all your shame?
God did, God did
Who gave you breath to praise?
God did, God did
God did, God did
God did, God did
