The Bittersweetness of Farewell

Good-byes are never easy, and this one is no different. KAMB extends its best wishes to General Manager, Tim Land, who announced his upcoming retirement to the KAMB Board and Staff in January. Tim began his work at here 41 years ago, serving the last 29 years as the General Manager, leading the Staff in growing the width and depth of KAMB’s broadcast footprint in the Central Valley.
On his time at KAMB, Tim said, “It has been a tremendous blessing to serve in a place that is Christ-centered. It’s equally a privilege to broadcast and stream the Good News freely each day over Central California. One of the greatest blessings is hearing the stories of how people have come to the Lord through KAMB, and hearing how God has used this unique ministry to encourage people to grow in their walk of faith with Him.”
Expansion and Improvement
Under Tim’s guidance, KAMB significantly expanded its broadcast signal with the move of its main transmitter to nearby Mariposa, to cover the Central Valley. He also guided the purchase of additional translators to reach the Central Coast. Through God’s faithfulness and provision, he led the station back to a financially healthy position and oversaw the transition from analog to digital platforms over the past 25 years.
Added Christopher Grant, KAMB Board Chairman,
“Tim has been a valuable part of KAMB/Celebration Radio. His commitment to the Lord, the listener, and the Staff have blessed this ministry greatly. The team is grateful for his leadership and looks forward to what the Lord has for him in the next season of his journey.”
Not retiring from Kingdom work

Tim will serve his last day at KAMB on June 30th. “There are a lot of long overdue projects both around the house and the yard that I’ll have more time to tackle.” Tim said of his next steps. “My wife and I will travel some, visiting friends and family on the other side of the country. And, although I’m retiring from KAMB, I’m not retiring from volunteer ministry and Kingdom work. My wife and I are very active in the life of our church and I’m continuing to serve in some leadership areas there.”
From all of us at KAMB/Celebration Radio, we thank you Tim for your undying commitment to serve Christ through your role and work at KAMB.
