Remember When?

Years ago, KAMB was at the forefront of playing contemporary Christian music from Steve Green, Larnelle Harris, the Imperials, Twila Paris, Wayne Watson, and others. It may be said that one of the most iconic voices of the 1980s to mid-1990s was that of Sandi Patty. Sandi’s list of accomplishments in Christian music are plentiful: five Grammy® awards, 40 Dove awards (the most awarded female vocalist in contemporary Christian music), and over 12 million units sold. Songs such as We Shall Behold Him, More Than Wonderful, and I’ve Just Seen Jesus (both with Larnelle Harris), Via Dolorosa, and dozens more were standards for more than a decade.
By the late 1990s, Sandi broadened her sphere of influence with pop concert performances with various symphonies and other special events. This included an invitation to sing the National Anthem at the Indianapolis 500 in 1987-88, 1990-1992, and again in 2013. These days, Sandi prefers a more informal, personal setting to share songs and stories of journeying through life together.
