Everything KAMB does is for the glory of God. We strive to win more hearts for Jesus and to encourage those who already believe in Him. We hope that every listener will encounter the Holy Spirit in a very real way through Jesus Christ. It’s because of this hope that we air songs like Heaven on Earth by the Newsboys.
Newsboys
The Newsboys have weathered many changes throughout their history. From new band members to relocation, the Newsboys have proven their resilience and love for God time and again. The band originally formed in 1987 in Queensland, Australia. Over the years, the Newsboys have had three different lead singers and several shifts in band members. Today’s Newsboys are Michael Tait, Duncan Phillips, Jeff Frankenstein, Jody Davis, and Adam Agee.
Throughout their near-four-decade history, the Newsboys have secured their position as one of the most well-known bands in Christian music. With 22 studio albums, 4 Grammy nominations, 30 Dove nominations and 4 wins, and hundreds of concerts, the Newsboys’ success is undeniable. At every turn, the band has used their musical talents to serve God and inspire the hearts of believers worldwide. Their latest song, Heaven on Earth, is yet another demonstration of their commitment to God’s Truth and His people.
Heaven on Earth
Many of us have heard the phrase “we could have heaven on earth today, if only we would….” But how many of us pause and seriously consider its implications? In Heaven on Earth, the Newsboys bring this message to life. They point us back to a dramatic moment in Scripture when the Spirit first comes to the apostles. Acts 2 describes the Spirit’s powerful arrival and how He uses the apostles to lead thousands of people to faith in Jesus Christ that very night. It’s because of the Spirit that incredible things happened that night. And it’s because of the same Spirit that we can do incredible things today.
Heaven on Earth isn’t just a biblical recount of something we should pay attention to. This song is a call to action. The Newsboys understand that we have this kind of access to God, and we need to understand it too. The Spirit can work through us to grow and strengthen the Kingdom of God just like He has before. But are we willing to let Him? The revival our souls cry out for can happen, but we have to be ready for the Spirit to move. We have to be willing to surrender to the Lord’s will and to allow Him to use us for His good and mighty work. The apostles were willing and ready for the Spirit to bring Heaven on Earth, but are we?

Lyrics
I've seen the beauty of the grave wide open
Resurrection power, the curse is broken
Jesus is the way
The truth, the life, the only way
Holy is the name, Yahweh
One way, Jesus, set our hearts on fire
Send Your Spirit, we are crying out
Heaven on earth here and now (oh, here and now)
One way, Jesus, Holy Ghost revival
Send Your thunder, let it shake this ground
Heaven on earth here and now
Send rushing winds and tongues of fire
Speak in the Spirit and start revival
Jesus is the way
The truth, the life, the only way
Holy is the name, Yahweh
One way, Jesus, set our hearts on fire
Send Your Spirit, we are crying out
Heaven on earth here and now (oh, here and now)
One way, Jesus, Holy Ghost revival
Send Your thunder, let it shake this ground
Heaven on earth here and now
Fire fell in the upper room (Holy Spirit, we call on You, Holy Spirit, we call on You)
Prophecies were coming true (Holy Spirit, we call on You, we welcome You, we welcome You)
Every tongue, they heard the news (Holy Spirit, we call on You, Holy Spirit, we call on You)
Then 3, 000 turned to You (Holy Spirit, we call on You, we welcome You, we welcome You)
One way, Jesus, set our hearts on fire
Send Your Spirit, we are crying out
Heaven on earth here and now (oh, here and now)
One way, Jesus, Holy Ghost revival
Send Your thunder, let it shake this ground
Heaven on earth here and now (oh, here and now)
Oh, Heaven on earth here and now
