All of us here at KAMB hope that we can encourage each of you daily through our ministry. Burdens are so much easier to bear when we have someone in our corner, and each of us has the greatest defender there: God. Wherever you find yourself today, remember that He is In the Room with you. Check out Naomi Raine and her powerful take on God’s presence.
Naomi Raine
Naomi Raine was first drawn to music when she was a toddler. As an adult, her love for singing and songwriting has become a deep passion and ministry. Raine seeks to honor and glorify God through her gifts just as her parents did before her. By weaving the Gospel into every song, Raine has shared the truth of Jesus Christ with thousands of people around the world. She has also used her music to pursue her vision of unity and empowerment within the Church. According to her website biography, this vision has been further expanded through Raine’s own record label, The Bridge Collective, where she provides others with opportunities to grow their gifts and serve the Lord.
Many listeners are sure to recognize Raine’s amazing vocals, both on her own and in collaboration with other artists. Most notable, of course, is Raine’s connection to Maverick City Music. In sharing the same goals for sharing and living God’s truth, Raine felt right at home when she connected with the group. With them, Raine has won multiple music awards such as Billboard Music Awards, Dove Awards, Stellar Awards, and a Grammy. No matter where you’ve heard her voice, the lyrics she sings are bound to capture your attention. The same can be said of her latest song, In the Room.
In the Room
Believing that we are alone is one of the strongest lies alive in our hearts today. The enemy knows that if he can get us to believe it, we will forget the promises of our mighty God. And when we forget His promises, we lose our hope in Him. Instead of walking in His freedom and assurance of life, we live defeated and in uncertainty. We accept that He’s abandoned us, and we search the world’s emptiness for something to hold onto. In the song In the Room, Naomi Raine boldly and powerfully reclaims the truth that our Father is present with us and in us.
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:37-39
God has given Himself—His Spirit—to us as a treasure that lives inside of us. There is no place we can go, no distance we can travel, and no circumstance we can face where God is not with us. When pressures rise around us, it can be so tempting to believe that we’ll be crushed. Yet, it’s in these hard moments when we can be most assured that God is In the Room with us. In fact, Raine reminds us that we can have the same confidence in Him as Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. The threat of lions and flames didn’t shake their faith, and we shouldn’t allow our trials to shake us either. God is stronger than any hurt we have and better than any choice we can make. No matter what the lies to our hearts say, He’s In the Room with us because He loves and cares for us.

Lyrics
I'm not forsaken
Never alone
The God of Heaven
Calls me His own
He's not just seated upon the throne
I know He's right here inside my home
I've got a treasure
Here in my heart
And in my weakness
It won't depart
I have a Savior who will abide
He's not just with me, He lives inside
Pre chorus:
Just go ask Daniel if
our God will bring you out
And he will testify
He shuts the Lion's mouth
Go ask those Hebrew boys
if He'll stick by your side
They will identify
the fourth man in the fire (they'll tell you)
Ohhhhhhhhhhh
He's in the room
I've got a treasure
Here in my heart
And in my weakness
It won't depart
I have a Savior who will abide
He's not just with me He lives inside
Prechorus:
Just go ask Daniel if
our God will bring you out
And he will testify
He shuts the Lion's mouth
Go ask those Hebrew boys
if He'll stick by your side
They will identify
the fourth man in the fire (they'll tell you)
If I search the heavens high
He's there
If I search the earth below
He's there
If I make my bed in hell
He's there
No matter where I go
He's there
Where can I run from His Spirit
He's there
Where can I go from His presence
He's there
Even in the deepest depths
He's there
No matter where I go
He's there
Vamp:
I'm never alone
He'll never forsake me
I'll stay in His arms
Right here in His safety
