The music we choose to play on Celebration Radio KAMB not only professes faith in Jesus Christ through the lyrics but also through the artists’ personal testimony.

Iveth Luna

Every day at KAMB, we hope to encourage each member of our listening family through fresh music and biblical programming. Our staff seek out songs with God-honoring messages and pray that they will speak to the hearts of our listeners. Just Like Jesus by Iveth Luna is exactly one of those songs.

Iveth Luna

Before succeeding as a CCM artist, Iveth Luna grew up in a loving, ministry focused family. From childhood, she was surrounded by relatives who loved the Lord and who used their gifts to honor Him. Unlike her male relatives, however, Luna didn’t see herself becoming a worship leader. In fact, it wasn’t until she saw Kari Jobe on stage that Luna realized women could even be worship leaders. Despite this revelation, it wasn’t until her freshman year of college that Luna felt the Lord calling her to ministry as a worship leader. Her passion for worship and songwriting exploded shortly after His call, and Luna has used her talents to worship God ever since. In 2022, Luna made her CCM debut with her single “In You”. Since then, she has released new songs and continued growing her musical career. Her latest single is her song Just Like Jesus.

Just Like Jesus

Luna uses Just Like Jesus to remind us of how completely we are loved by our Savior. Every lyric describes an attribute of Jesus’ character and reminds us of the promises God has made though His Son. He fills every gap we face and supplies strength for every trial and shortcoming. Luna also fills Just Like Jesus with her resounding desire to be more like Him in everything. We often find ourselves in a similar position when we remember all that the Lord has done for us. Jesus steps into our circumstances and covers us with His absolute love and grace. In turn, witnessing the example of our Savior encourages us to pursue His ways rather than our own. As His blessings pour into us, His love pours out of us. Have you ever experienced a season of blessing that prompts you to share out of your abundance with others? That’s the ripple effect of Jesus.

Lyrics

Oh-oh-oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh-oh
Who says
"I'm with you there in the dark
It won't always be this hard
I'm holding your broken heart"?
And who says
"I'm not scared of your fears
All your doubts, bring 'em here
I'm wiping all of your tears"?
He does, He does
It's just like Jesus
To give me strength when I need it
Hope when I cannot see it
When I'm falling to pieces
It's just like Jesus
To put me back on my feet when
I was out past the deep end
You wanted me when nobody wanted me
Now I just wanna be
Just like Jesus
(Oh-oh-oh-oh)
Just like Jesus
(Oh-oh-oh-oh)
Who is
A friend to all of the friendless
Fighting for the defenseless
Merciful in the messes?
And who can
Make a sinner feel worthy
Lift the head of the hurting
Walk with those who are searching?
It's just like Jesus
To give me strength when I need it
Hope when I cannot see it
When I'm falling to pieces
It's just like Jesus
To put me back on my feet when
I was out past the deep end
You wanted me when nobody wanted me
Now I just wanna be
Just like Jesus
His hands, His feet
His arms reaching
He wanted me when nobody wanted me
Now I just wanna be
Now I just wanna be
His hands, His feet
His arms reaching
He wanted me when nobody wanted me
Now I just wanna be
Just like Jesus, oh
Just like Jesus
It's just like Jesus
To give me strength when I need it
Hope when I cannot see it
When I'm falling to pieces (When I'm falling to pieces)
It's just like Jesus
To put me back on my feet when
I was out past the deep end
You wanted me when nobody wanted me
Now I just wanna be
Just like Jesus (Oh-oh-oh-oh)
(His hands, His feet)
(His arms reaching)
Just like Jesus (Oh-oh-oh-oh)
(He wanted me when nobody wanted me)
(Now I just wanna be, now I just wanna be)

Conclusion

As you go about your week, remember what the Lord has done and promised in your life. All of us face trials of varying shapes and sizes, but we worship the same Lord. When we choose to remember His faithfulness, everything else shifts into the right perspective. It’s Just Like Jesus to step into our brokenness and make us whole, and it’s fitting that His actions stir our desire to be more like Him ourselves.

Blanca and Something Better

Blanca

The post-Easter season is often filled with excitement as we move forward from our celebrations and into Spring. The further we get from our Christian holidays, though, the harder it can be to hold onto renewed joys. Recognizing that, all of us at KAMB want to encourage you to keep your heart’s fire stoked for the Lord. Trials seem to especially settle in again following such times of great spiritual uplift, and now is the time to lean into God’s unwavering goodness. The latest hit Something Better by Blanca is a perfect reminder for anyone struggling to remember that goodness today.

Blanca

Blanca has been a CCM artist since 2003 when the band Group 1 Crew started. She stayed on with the band for 10 years before pursuing a solo career, simply known as Blanca. Since stepping out on her own, Blanca’s songs have achieved high Billboard rankings and she has collaborated with several other CCM artists. In addition to her musical success in English, Blanca has also re-released albums and recorded original music in Spanish. Seizing the opportunity to unite her Latin roots with praise music has also allowed Blanca to reach a wider audience.

In recent years, Blanca has navigated through great hardships in her personal life which have led to further growth in her faith and music. She lost both her parents within several years of each other and then endured the grief of divorce in 2019. Rather than allowing such loss to cripple her, though, Blanca has used her experiences to glorify God through her music. The latest example of her resilience and steadfast faith in God is her latest collaboration with Tauren Wells: Something Better.

Something Better

Something Better is a beautiful reminder of God’s absolute love and healing in the worst of circumstances. There are a lot of times when a situation can feel overwhelming and inescapable. We come to the end of ourselves without an answer in sight and no idea how to move forward. Yet, God always comes through. He not only pulls us out of our grief and hopelessness, but He also brings us to Something Better. Throughout the song, Blanca draws from her own hardships to demonstrate such goodness in her own life. She starts by describing her loneliness and uncertainty, but ultimately ends by singing of God’s faithfulness to her. God has taken everything that Blanca has endured and turned it into Something Better than it was. He can—and will—do the same for us, too; we just have to let Him.

Lyrics

It's been a couple years I've been on my own
Now I know that I'm not alone
You've given me a reason to carry on, to carry on, eah, yeah
Yeah, everything is different now-a-days
I lost a few ones along the way
I had to learn to trust it'll be okay, it'll be okay
Every moment I was sure I wouldn't make it through
I was safe because of you
I don't know how, but you take all my pain
And you turn it into something better
Ooh, something better
There's not a tear that you let go to waste
No, you turn it into something better
Ooh, something better
You say you never leave and you really don't
A kind of love that I've never known
You took over my heart and you made a home
You made a home
And all the broken pieces within
You put them together again
And with you a new story begins, begins
I don't know how, but you take all my pain
And you turn it into something better
Ooh, something better
There's not a tear that you let go to waste
No, you turn it into something better
Ooh, something better
Ha, ha, ha, ha, haa ah, something better
Ha-a, ha, ha, ha, ah ah, something better
Something in the way you move
I never understood
That it all works for my good (yeah)
Every moment I was sure I wouldn't make it through
I was safe because of you
I don't know how, but you take all my pain
And you turn it into something better
Ooh, something better
There's not a tear that you let go to waste
No, you turn it into something better
Ooh, something better
Ha, ha, ha, ha, haa ah, something better
Ha-a, ha, ha, ha, ah ah, something better
Ha, ha-a, ha-a, ha-a, haa ha, something better
Ha-a, ha-a, ha-a, ha-a, ah ah, something better-uh ah

Conclusion

Nothing is too great for our God to turn into Something Better. Don’t let the lies of sorrow and shame cloud out the truth of God’s nature. All of us carry heavy burdens that the Lord is willing to take from us and transform. Rather than allowing the weight of them to cripple us, we should remember Blanca’s song and press on. God has never failed us, and He certainly won’t start now.

Lauren Daigle

As we enter the Easter season, all of us at KAMB hope to encourage you and your families. This week is a special blend of sorrow and joy as we reflect on Jesus’ death and resurrection. Many of us will attend special church services, parties, and other gatherings, but hopefully all of us will remember why we celebrate this holiday no matter our activities. Throughout the next week, keep your dials turned to KAMB to hear great programs and new music like Thank God I Do by Lauren Daigle.

Lauren Daigle

Born and raised in Louisiana, Lauren Daigle was often surrounded by a variety of music in her home. Her mother had a wide interest in various styles, and Daigle’s own interest in music grew when a medical condition kept her home from school for two years. She began taking voice lessons at 15 but didn’t pursue a career in music until later in life. Instead, she pursued a medical career and future participation in missions. Following an extended mission trip to Brazil, Daigle began to pursue music as more than a creative hobby. She participated in the American Idol contest in 2010 and 2012 with varying success both years. Daigle also had opportunities to sing with various local artists in surrounding states and participated in a music workshop. Centricity Music, the host of the workshop, signed her on as an artist in 2013.

Daigle’s first single released in 2013 on a Christmas collaboration album and her debut album, How Can It Be, released in 2015. Almost immediately, Daigle’s popularity skyrocketed throughout the CCM world as listeners flocked to hear her music. The album, particularly the single also named “How Can It Be”, topped Billboard charts and gained many accolades. Since then, Daigle has released another album (Look Up Child) and has received many awards and nominations for her music. Some of her successes include K-Love Awards, Dove Awards, and multiple Grammys. Daigle has also maintained coveted spots on the Billboard charts for weeks—if not months—on end. Her career looks promising, and it will be exciting to see how she grows as an artist and witness to her listeners in the future.

Thank God I Do

In her new song Thank God I Do, Lauren Daigle softly but powerfully sings truths about God’s presence. The song begins with her questioning if anyone will stay after seeing so many people leave. As the verses unfold, Daigle leads her audience through a journey of building a relationship with God. While she begins with loneliness, she follows with discovery of God’s steadfastness, and she ends with security in His presence. All of us have traveled through a season of wandering. Some of us have walked great lengths from the Lord while others have walked only a few steps away. Regardless of the distance or the time spent there, though, Daigle tenderly reminds us that God remains our refuge. Unlike every other relationship, thing, or pursuit in our lives, God stays beside us.

Even better than staying, God walks with and grows us beyond where we’ve started. Throughout her song, Daigle repeats the phrase, “I don’t know where I’d be if I didn’t know You.” How many of us can echo this sentiment? How many of us can look back on all the times when we couldn’t go on any further only to realize God was already moving the whole time? I’m willing to bet there’s been at least one moment for all of us, big or small. The beauty of such evidence is knowing that it all points back to our hope in Jesus Christ. As Daigle makes clear in her song, we would be lost apart from God. Without His intervention, His love, His grace, His presence, we would all still be wandering down lonely roads looking for something to save us. Thank God for Jesus.

Lauren Daigle – Thank God I Do (Official Lyric Video)

Lyrics

I've seen love come and
I've seen love walk away
So many questions
Will anybody stay?
It's been a hard year
So many nights in tears
All of the darkness
Tryin' to fight my fears
Alone, so long, alone
I don't know who I'd be if I didn't know You
I'd probably fall off the edge
I don't know where I'd go if You ever let go
So keep me held in Your hands
I've started breathin'
The weight is lifted here
With You, it's easy
My head is finally clear
There's nothin' missing
When You are by my side
I took the long road
But now I realizе
I'm home, with You, I'm home
I don't know who I'd be if I didn't know You
I'd probably fall off thе edge
I don't know where I'd go if You ever let go
So keep me held in Your hands
I don't know who I'd be if I didn't know You
I'd probably fall of the edge
I don't know where I'd go if You ever let go
So keep me held in Your hands
You're my safe place
My hideaway
You're my anchor
My saving grace
You're my constant
My steadiness
You're my shelter
My oxygen
I don't know who I'd be if I didn't know You
Thank God, I do
I don't know who I'd be if I didn't know You
I'd probably fall off the edge
I don't know where I'd go if You ever let go
So keep me held in Your hands
I don't know who I'd be if I didn't know You
Thank God, I do

Conclusion

As you and your families prepare your hearts and homes for the upcoming celebration of Jesus’ resurrection, remember how close our Lord is. He is personal, He is good, and He is faithful. In Him, we are not only saved but renewed. Because of Him, we no longer walk in darkness but in light, and we can boldly approach each day knowing that He is with us. It doesn’t matter how long your road to Him was, the point is that you know Him now and He isn’t going anywhere.

Austin French and Jesus Can

Austin French

KAMB is all about sharing God-honoring music with our listeners. Today, we have the opportunity to tell you about Austin French and his latest single, Jesus Can.

Austin French

Austin French has been a familiar voice at KAMB since he released “Freedom Hymn” a few years ago. Before the success of his musical career, though, French was a young boy struggling to understand the truth about Jesus. French grew up in a home surrounded by Christians and regularly attended church. However, despite his exposure to Christianity, he hated anything to do with it. On the About page at his website, French says, “Our family was the family that pretended to be perfect on Sunday but was falling apart behind closed doors.” Due to such conflicting behavior at home, French associated all Christians with that hypocrisy. Everything changed when he was 13 and attended a church music camp. While there, he repeatedly heard the message, “Don’t judge Jesus on the broken people He came to save.” Since then, French has dedicated his musical talents to serving God.

In 2014, French participated in ABC’s singing TV show Rising Star. After the show ended, he pursued a career in CCM. French spent a few years working on his music and writing while also developing his ministry. During this time, he signed a record deal with Fair Trade Services and released his debut single in 2017. The single, “Freedom Hymn”, quickly climbed the Billboard charts and attracted lots of attention. A year later, French’s first album followed and also ranked highly on the Billboard charts. Today, French continues to create joyful worship songs about God’s love and grace. His latest hit is his new song Jesus Can.

Jesus Can

Jesus Can is Austin French’s joyful anthem about the transformative power of Jesus Christ. The song begins by describing some of the pain French faced as a child. He battled with fear, uncertainty, and heartbreak as he navigated a life of tension at home. Through these opening lyrics, French draws us into his story and later invites us to reflect on our own in the following verse. Wrapped around all of these heartbreaking realities, though, is the truth of God’s love and redemption. For every hurt, sorrow, and fear, God can—and does—provide an answer: Jesus.

Our God sees us for who we are, and He meets us where we are. Even more, He leads us out of our chains and into His freedom. Unlike self-help books and motivational quotes, Jesus removes the burden from us and delivers us Himself. In fact, because of how powerful French knows Jesus’ message to be, he’s decided to write a book based on the ideas in this song. No matter how hopeless a situation may seem, Jesus Can.

I’m an artist whose life has been radically saved through a very desperate situation…. That’s the goal of the book and this song, to share my history and my story. When you think you can’t make it out, Jesus can make a way.

Lyrics

Picture this, an eight year old kid growing up in Georgia
Having a hard time with the world that he was seeing
Coming home from school
Scared to death and always wondering
What kind of mood his dad would be in
That kind of home can do a number on you
Mom and dad broke up, and I guess I broke too
I grew up thinking nothing good could ever come
From a story like mine
But who turns a broken dream
Into a life redeemed?
Who can turn your worst defeat
Into your victory?
Who saw me where I was
And led me where I stand?
My life is living proof that only Jesus can
Everybody's got that hurt they wished that never happened
Everybody's got that pain they wish they could undo
But wounds become scars and scars become stories
And when it comes to the story of you
Who turns a broken dream
Into a life redeemed?
Who can turn your worst defeat
Into your victory?
Who saw me where I was
And led me where I stand?
My life is living proof that only Jesus can
Only Jesus can save me
Only Jesus can change me
Only Jesus can take me
From lost to found
Hallelujah, I'm singing
There's no stealing my freedom
He picked up all the pieces
Look at me now
Who turns a broken dream
Into a life redeemed?
Who can turn your worst defeat
Into your victory?
Who saw me where I was
And led me where I stand?
My life is living proof that only Jesus can
Oh (ooh, ooh)
Oh, thank You, Jesus (ooh, ooh)
Come on
Only Jesus can save me (ooh)
(Only Jesus can change me)
Only You can change me, Lord
(Only Jesus can take me) ooh
From lost to found
(Hallelujah, I'm singing)
(There's no stealing my freedom)
There ain't no stealing my freedom
My life is living proof that only Jesus can

Conclusion

Life offers all of us a lot of ups and downs as we go about our business. At times, the crush of our problems and the pain in our circumstances leave us in a position of hopelessness. If you find yourself in such a desperate place, remember the promise of our Lord: He will never leave us or forsake us. Perhaps you can’t find a way out of your situation or a solution to your burdens, and that’s okay. Instead of focusing on everything you can’t do, lift your eyes to the promise that Jesus Can.
