Our mission is to inspire people to know Jesus personally and challenge them to follow Him faithfully through the creative use of interactive media.

The Ministries of Celebration Radio are expanding God’s Kingdom and inspiring the transformation of lives by using compelling, Christ-centered music and programming through relevant technology.
Our Purpose
Celebration Radio, KAMB broadcasts, and streams inspiring contemporary Christian music. KAMB also features many programs that focus on Biblical values and provide practical help in dealing with the challenging issues of life. Our desire is to see lives transformed by the power of Jesus Christ throughout Central California and the world. To accomplish this, we use relevant technology. You can listen to KAMB on the radio or online, visit our website, or interact with us on social media. We also love to make personal contacts at local events. Our purpose is the Great Commission!
The History of KAMB
The Beginning
KAMB first went on the air in November of 1967. The first broadcast was live with a DJ’s microphone on a crate in a field by the transmitter which was located on a mountain in the foothills of California’s Central Valley.
The Growth
Originally the music was played on reel-to-reel tapes which had to be pre-recorded and loaded for play every hour. When the station went to 24-hour broadcasting, that meant the station had to be “manned” ‘round the clock. Reel-to-reel tapes were eventually replaced with CDs. Currently, the music and programs are all stored digitally on computers. Even the Host’s shows can be pre-recorded if they are not available for a live broadcast.
The Style
Over five decades ago the founders of KAMB chose to offer Christ-centered music and programming without commercial interruption to serve listeners throughout Central California. Celebration Radio is listener and community-funded. In the 2000s, KAMB welcomed funding from Impact Sponsors. These are listeners who run businesses, non-profit organizations, and ministries. Impact Sponsors believe in our mission and want to help ensure that lives are being impacted for Christ each day through the ministry of KAMB. The Music and Programs on KAMB
Format Changes
KAMB’s format has changed over the years. KAMB began with inspirational music and biblical programs. This even included local music artists, preaching, and teaching. As the Christian Music industry grew and changed, so did KAMB. Celebration Radio mixed inspiration with Adult Contemporary Music in the ’80s and ’90s. In the early 2000’s we switched to the Adult Contemporary Christian Music (CCM) format which suits a broader range of listening adults. KAMB is also a reporting station and therefore no longer plays locally recorded music.
Why New Music?
Celebration Radio KAMB broadcasts music that celebrates a new life in Christ Jesus. We regularly add new music and new artists to our playlist in keeping with Psalm 96:1, “Sing to the LORD a new song; sing to the LORD, all the earth.” KAMB broadcasts Christ-centered programs that teach the truth of the Gospel every day. These are some of the top ministries in the Christian community today such as Focus on the Family, Moneywise, Intentional Living, Insight for Living, and Key Life.
Our Connection
At Celebration Radio, the Hosts, Staff, and Volunteers invite listeners into their lives as they follow Christ. Behind the microphone, at a desk, at a concert, or at a local event, we welcome contact with listeners and pray for them daily!
Ways to Listen to KAMB
Our FM Frequencies
Celebration Radio KAMB broadcasts to the California Central Valley from Fresno to Modesto on 101.5 FM. In the Foothills you can hear KAMB on 107.1 FM in Sonora. When you are on the Central Coast you can tune in at 96.3 FM in Salinas, 100.9 FM in South San Jose, and 103.1 FM in Santa Cruz.
