KAMB Artist – Iveth Luna

Iveth Luna grew up in Mesquite, Texas, just outside of Dallas. She is part of a family where ministry is just way of life. She began to explore her talent as a singer and songwriter after she encountered the music of Kari Jobe. That is when the Lord began to unfold the plan He had for her gifts and talents. First, as she began singing in church at the age of 16, and then during her freshman year in college she had an amazing encounter with the Lord and she knew that her true calling was to be involved in music, but was unsure how that would happen.

Iveth explains her encounter with the Lord here

Luna began writing songs and music that reflected her heart. The Lord opened the door for Luna to meet the Ward Brothers, known for their band Consumed By Fire. They encouraged her to make a trip to Nashville and shortly before the pandemic hit, she met executives at Red Street Records!

Soon after the introduction, she signed a record deal and began collaborating with producer Kevin Rooney. She has written “I Still Believe” for a time during the pandemic when she saw people become complacent in their faith. Iveth then wrote “Second Chances” with Jordan and Caleb Ward and Brian Bunn. This song sends the clear message that we are all human and God has extended grace to each of us and calls us to extend grace to our fellow humans.

“In You” is Iveth’s latest single is the perfect reminder to us all that our strength comes from the Lord. Written by Iveth, Jordan and Caleb Ward and Don Koch, we are reminded that we all need confidence in every situation in life and Christ is the perfect source. Enjoy the official lyric video below.

The song lyrics (below) remind us that God was faithful in His covenant to Abraham in Genesis and that His Word will remain the same through the ages even though the earth may pass away as prophesied in Revelation. It reaffirms that putting your faith in Jesus is your anchor, your hope and firm foundation that will never let you down. We are encouraged to praise God even in the middle of the storm and trial because He has proven that He is faithful and good!

God of Abraham, You're the God of covenant and faithful promises
Time and time again You have proven You'll do just what You said

Though the storms may come and the winds may blow, I'll remain steadfast
And let my heart learn when You speak a word it will come to pass

Great is Your faithfulness to me
Great is Your faithfulness to me
From the rising sun to the setting same I will praise Your name
Great is Your faithfulness to me

God from age to age, though the earth may pass away Your word remains the same
Your history can prove there's nothing You can't do, You're faithful and True

Though the storms may come and the winds may blow, I'll remain steadfast
And let my heart learn when You speak a word, it will come to pass

I put my faith in Jesus
My anchor to the ground
He's my hope and firm foundation
He'll never let me down

Anne Wilson – My Jesus

Anne Wilson

My Jesus by Anne Wilson is the song she co-wrote with Jeff Pardo and Matthew West and will be featured on her debut three-track single, also titled My Jesus, for Capitol Christian Music Group. You can learn more about Anne on her website: http://www.annewilsonofficial.com/#/

We love this song because Anne shares the clear message of God’s love in any and every situation. As you would introduce a friend, Anne introduces everyone to a very personal Savior, she calls, ‘My Jesus!’

This is what Anne shared on the radio about her song:

Hey! This is Anne Wilson, and this is the story behind my new song, “My Jesus”.
A few years ago, I went through a season of tragedy. My older brother, Jacob, (he was my best friend and someone I looked up to in every way), lost his life in a car accident at the age of 23. I can remember that night so vividly. Police officers were standing at the front door, and I knew at that moment that something had gone wrong. I walked into the living room, and I saw my parents were in complete and total despair.
That night I heard God’s voice so clear, and He spoke to me for the first time. He said, “Anne, are you going to trust me or not?” I answered, “Jesus, I trust you.” In an instant Jesus lifted the heavy weight off and told me that He would give me everything I would need to get through this. Journaling became part of my healing process. Jesus began to show me that He was a personal God. Before I knew it, I had also started turning those journal entries into songs. As I was writing one day I looked back into my journal and realized I never wrote just ‘Jesus’, ‘God’, or ‘Lord.’ I always wrote ‘my Jesus’ and that’s what inspired me to write this song.
When people hear this song, I want them to feel that Jesus is personal. And while our stories may look different, the same Jesus that I call, ‘my Jesus’, can be ‘your Jesus’ too.

Anne Wilson – My Jesus

Through her song, My Jesus, Anne shares how Jesus is the answer to our burdens, suffering, and shame. She tells us that He can tell the past to disappear and work it all for our good. Anne has experienced this first-hand through the tragic death of her brother, Jacob. She began singing to God and worshiping through her pain. She performed a song before an audience for the first time at her brother’s funeral. That’s when she knew the calling God had placed on her life to sing for Him. Although she doesn’t have all the answers to life’s tragedies, Anne doesn’t blame God. Instead, she leans on His love and grace, and implores you to let Jesus change your life!

Song Lyrics

Are you past the point of weary?
Is your burden weighin' heavy?
Is it all too much to carry?
Let me tell you 'bout my Jesus

Do you feel that empty feeling?
'Cause shame's done all its stealin'
And you're desperate for some healin'
Let me tell you 'bout my Jesus

He makes a way where there ain't no way
Rises up from an empty grave
Ain't no sinner that He can't save
Let me tell you 'bout my Jesus
His love is strong and His grace is free
And the good news is I know that He
Can do for you what He's done for me
Let me tell you 'bout my Jesus
And let my Jesus change your life
Hallelujah, Amen

Who can wipe away the tears
From broken dreams and wasted years
And tell the past to disappear? Oh
Let me tell you 'bout my Jesus

And all the wrong turns that you would
Go and undo if you could
Who can work it all for your good
Let me tell you about my Jesus

Who would take my cross to Calvary?
Pay the price for all my guilty?
Who would care that much about me?
Let me tell you 'bout my Jesus, oh

Tree and the Nails is a song of true redemption. We are all broken people struggling with failure and we each deserve death. Because of Christ’s death on the cross, God sees us through Christ’s sacrifice. God does not see us as broken, He sees “more than enough” as Billy describes in the lyrics below:

LYRICS: Tree And The Nails

What do I do with all these scars
How do I move on when they’re with me dawn to dark
I know that I need grace
Oh God meet me in this place

You call me chosen
You call me loved
You don’t see broken
You see more than enough
Whenever I wander
Whenever I fail
Your love doesn’t falter
Your love prevails
Through the tree and the nails

God I’ve been longing for the day
When I’d finally be free
Like you promised I would be
As I pray and I seek
I know you’ll answer me

No I’m not who I was when I started this race
But I know you’re not done you’re not finished with me
Cause everything broken is coming undone
You called us your daughters you called us your sons Yeah
