The music we choose to play on Celebration Radio KAMB not only professes faith in Jesus Christ through the lyrics but also through the artists’ personal testimony.

A New Name

Although her name might be unfamiliar, KAMB artist Brooke Ligertwood has been making award-winning music for decades under her maiden name, Brooke Fraser, and as a part of Hillsong Worship. However, 2022 is the first year that she has released music under her married name.

Brooke is from New Zealand, and she started learning piano at age seven, writing songs at twelve, and playing the guitar at fifteen. She began a solo music career in 2002 that quickly took off in New Zealand and beyond. From 2006-2010, she sang and wrote music for Hillsong Worship, then returned in 2016, co-writing worship favorites like “What a Beautiful Name” and “Who You Say I Am.”

In addition to winning numerous awards, including a Grammy for “What a Beautiful Name,” she is a mom to two young daughters and passionate about charity, worshipping God, and being a part of the local and global church.

Praising God!

Her 2022 album SEVEN is about “the marriage of theology and art,” and its central idea is that Jesus is at the center of the church. In an article for American Songwriter, Brooke said, “Ideas are one of the most powerful things in the world. Theology is ideas about God—in other words, some of the most powerful ideas in the world. When this type of potency can be delivered through rhyme and melody, it’s practically combustible. It becomes something that God Himself might just ride in on.” On this project, she collaborated with other songwriters, including her husband Scott, as well as a choir, emphasizing the song’s theme of church unity in worship.

Her latest single from SEVEN, “Honey in the Rock,” co-written by Brandon Lake, is inspired by Psalm 89. The song is about “how the Lord feeds us with honey from the rock. In the wilderness we can still experience sweetness because we trust and know Jesus.” The song came together quickly, and she says she is “buzzing” to share it! Crowder - God Really Loves Us

KAMB strives to bring truth seeking and spiritually uplifting music to our listeners on a daily basis. It is always exciting when we can introduce a new song to our listening family, but it is especially exciting when that new song comes from several artists working together to spread God’s truth and love. God Really Loves Us is a work of collaboration between David Crowder and Dante Bowe. These men deliver words of encouragement through their co-written lyrics and remind us of God’s close role in our lives.

About Crowder and Dante Bowe

David Crowder has been a well-known figure in Contemporary Christian Music (CCM) since the early 2000s when he led the David Crowder Band. During that time, the band released several albums and received many Dove Awards for their music. In 2012, Crowder transitioned into a solo career—using Crowder as his performance name—and continued his pattern of success. He has achieved additional high placements on the Billboard Charts, released several other popular albums (such as American Prodigal) and worked in collaboration with other CCM artists, such as Dante Bowe.

Much like Crowder, Dante Bowe has also achieved great success in CCM during his music career as both a singer and songwriter. Bowe’s fame began when he released his debut album, Son of a Father, in 2017. Since then, he became a worship leader and songwriter with Bethel Music Collective and has worked in collaboration with other Christian artists—particularly Maverick City Music and Elevation Worship. However, his latest collaborative work joined him together with Crowder through their song God Really Loves Us.

God Really Loves Us

In their new song God Really Loves Us, Crowder and Bowe combine their creative forces to deliver a beautiful message about God’s love for us. They use every word to uplift the Lord and to emphasize His role as Father, Savior, and friend. Through such lyrics, we are reminded that God is everything we could ever possibly need or want. Sometimes, it’s really easy to forget the most basic and foundational truth of The Gospel: God Really Loves Us—and by making these words the name of their new song, Crowder and Bowe powerfully focus our attention on that truth.

During an interview, Crowder revealed more about how the song excites him by discussing one of his favorite parts about writing with Bowe, stating:

“And I love, too, when you’re writing and you have, like, someone in mind. Like, this is for me but it’s also for somebody in mind when I’m singing this. I’m believing something for someone. Ah man, I couldn’t be more happy and humbled by how it turned out, and honored to get to do something with you, dude.”

Song Lyrics

I’ve got a friend
Closer than a brother
There is no judgement
Oh how he loves me
I’ve got a friend

And He is my strength
He is my portion
With me in the valley
With me in the fire
With me in the storm

Let all my life testify

Hallelujah
We are not alone
God really loves us
God really loves us
Hallelujah
Oh praise, my soul
God really loves us
God really loves us

His mercy’s enough
His grace is sufficient
So come if you’re needing
Forgiveness or healing
His mercy’s enough

Oh, and this is our hope
The cross it has spoken
Death is no more
Christ is the Lord
Oh, this is our hope

Hallelujah
We are not alone
God really loves us
God really loves us
Hallelujah
Oh praise, my soul
God really loves us
God really loves us

And oh-oh, oh-oh
Sing oh-oh, oh-oh
Sing

What a Father
What a Friend
What a Savior He is (Jesus)
What a Father
What a Friend
What a Savior He is

Hallelujah
We are not alone
God really loves us
God really loves us
Hallelujah
Oh praise, my soul
God really loves us
God really loves us

What a Father
What a Friend
What a Savior He is (Jesus)
What a Father
What a Friend
What a Savior He is
What a Father
What a Friend
What a Savior He is
What a Father
What a Friend
What a Savior He is

KAMB Artist Abby Robertson

A Journey begins

First, let’s take a look at KAMB Artist Abby Robertson’s journey, which began soon after her birth. When she was just a baby, Abby’s mom heard the Lord say “This little hand will hold a microphone in front of thousands.” What a joy it must be for her mom to see the Lord’s words play out over a lifetime of her faith unfolding and developing. She was diagnosed with a reading disorder early in school and her parents moved her to an alternative learning school. Lessons were taught through music.

“Music is memory muscle,” Abby explains, “so I just remembered how to sing things and then I’d remember how to actually speak and read things….That’s how it all started. It was me having a struggle, me loving music and [working through] that struggle with music.”

Early music career

All before the age of 21, Abby opened for bands such as the Beach Boys and Switchfoot. She has traveled the globe performing at music festivals. KAMB Artist Abby Robertson has even released pop songs and dabbled in country music. Abby will tell you that despite an impressive beginning to her music career, the moments she is most proud of are when she has been able to express openness and honesty in her music. She loves the authenticity she is able to convey through her talent.

The struggle is real

In 2018, KAMB Artist Abby Robertson was struggling to believe the truth God speaks into our lives and hearts. She was falling into the common trap of believing the lies of this world which left her questioning her gifts and abilities. She was questioning why God made her the way He designed her to be.

Years after school, Abby is still relying on the way she learned early in school. She is looking at the struggles of this life and learning to navigate them through music. The best part is that she can help other believers like you and me as we face the same struggles of this world. Her music can help us all to remember to place our identity in Christ and fall into the loving arms of our heavenly Father. You can hear her latest song, “Without Your Love” on KAMB. Miracle Power (Current Single)

As with their previous music, their current release, “Miracle Power”, is sure to resonate with KAMB listeners. Miracle Power is currently a Top Song on Celebration Radio. Here’s what Ed and Franni have to say about “Miracle Power”:

I don’t need a miracle to believe that God has miraculous power.

It’s been a lifelong lesson learning to trust in His sovereignty, and believe Him for miracles but to be ok when His perfect will doesn’t manifest the way I wish it would I am reminded of John 20:29:

“Then Jesus told him, ‘You believe because you have seen me. Blessed are those who believe without seeing me”…

There is something really beautiful about believing in the fullness of Jesus and His power without seeing Him and when the miracle doesn’t come here on earth. That knowledge combined with His presence living inside of us is enough to walk us through even the

darkest seasons. We hope this song speaks to your heart!

Ed Cash

Miracles have a beautiful way of restoring childlike wonder back into the hearts of men and women. They leave you awestruck in a way nothing else can.

God wants us to receive His miracles, not for the miracles alone, but in order to grow deeper in the knowledge of Him and all of who He is. My hope for this song is that it fans the flames of your faith and catapults you into the loving arms of the Living God.

On this side of heaven, God does not always work things out in the timing or the way that we hope for. I think many of us let that shut off our hearts to God as we step back into the shadows of disappointment. God wants us to lift our eyes to heaven and to Jesus. Have we forgotten this earth is not our home?

If not in this life, then in the next, I am confident that Jesus Christ makes ALL things beautiful and right in their time. Look up! He is inviting us to watch Him as He works wonders in creation and in the human hearts of His beloved people.

Phil 1:6
