The music we choose to play on Celebration Radio KAMB not only professes faith in Jesus Christ through the lyrics but also through the artists’ personal testimony.

Evan Craft and Fight On My Knees

Evan Craft is no stranger to the KAMB listening family. With songs such as Desesperado and Be Alright, this Christian artist has become a familiar voice at our station, and we are pleased to introduce more of his music. As you scroll through this page, you’ll find out about his life, his career, and our take on his latest single, Fight On My Knees.

Evan Craft

Evan Craft was 12 years old when he learned how to play the guitar. He began writing his own songs and performing soon after. As his music talents developed, Craft also dedicated himself to learning Spanish. His language skills enabled him to help his father run a homeless shelter in LA, and he later continued his linguistic studies in college. Craft enrolled in schools in Spain and Costa Rica and started writing songs in Spanish soon after. After the release of Yo Soy Segundo (2012), his first Spanish album, Craft traveled around Spanish churches, schools, and orphanages with some friends to share the evangelical message. As his passions for music, Spanish, people, and God continued to combine, Craft started posting videos on YouTube. By 2015, he had released an album, his EP Jovenes Somos (2014), and had translated his English music into Spanish. These successes coupled with his YouTube presence gave him opportunities to tour in churches and other locations across Latin America between 2014-2015.

Since then, Craft has released two other albums, Principio y Fin and Impulso, and has collaborated with many other Christian artists. He also continues to act on his passions for building community and reaching people. One way Craft does this is by dedicating resources to Mi Casa, a homeless shelter he co-founded in LA. Another is by writing new music that anyone who listens can enjoy. Craft’s latest release is his new single, Fight On My Knees.

Fight On My Knees

All of us encounter disappointment, frustration, and hardship throughout our lives. Often, we try to manage our emotions or take control of the situation even when there’s nothing we can do. Yet, even when we know that to be true, it’s still difficult to accept help. Fight On My Knees is Evan Craft’s way of reminding us where to turn when we face those battles. Rather than seeing prayer and surrender to God as signs of weakness, we need to remember that this is when God can most use us. This is when God can speak most clearly to us. In the song, Craft sings “Help me to remember, my help comes from Heaven / God, when I surrender, I find all I need”. Prayer isn’t admitting loss, it’s admitting that we need the One who’s greater to step in and help us. It’s choosing to turn to God rather than ourselves. And sometimes, it’s realizing that prayer for and of others is just as powerful. By entitling the song Fight On My Knees, Craft reminds us that this is the best thing we can possibly choose. Prayer keeps us close to God so that He can position us for His victory.

“Fight on My Knees reminds me that people have supported me in prayer throughout my life. So whether you or someone you love is far from God or needs prayer and support in a hard time, Heaven hears our prayers. Faith moves mountains, so let God fight your battle!”

Lyrics

[Intro]
(I fight on my knees)
[Verse 1]
Sometimes we feel so lost, we think we'll never be found
Sometimes we build our plans but then they fall to the ground
You might not know it, but somebody's been prayin' for this very moment
Feels like a whisper, but in Heaven it's loud
[Pre-Chorus]
Oh
Don't give up, don't give up on the ones you love
Oh
Just a little faith is enough
[Chorus]
Help me to remember, my help comes from Heaven
God, when I surrender, I find all I need
Strength in evеry weakness, in the Namе of Jesus
Oh, it's not a secret, I fight on my knees
I fight on my knees
[Post-Chorus]
(Prayers go up)
(I fight on my knees)
[Verse 2]
When I was younger, I was runnin' like a prodigal
My mama prayin' every night that God would save my soul
Even in the dark, He never ever let me go
I hit the wall face-to-face with the Holy Ghost
Where would I be without God's good mercy?
So let me tell you my testimony
There's someone prayin' for you everyday
Now that's amazing grace, and we're singin' like
[Pre-Chorus]
Oh
Don't give up, don't give up on the ones that you love
We're singin' like oh
Just a little faith is enough
[Chorus]
Help me to remember, my help comes from Heaven
God, when I surrender, I find all I need
Strength in every weakness, in the Name of Jesus (In the Name of Jesus)
Oh, it's not a secret, I fight on my knees
I fight on my knees
[Bridge]
When the prayers go up, Heaven comes down
So don't give up, don't give up now
When the prayers go up, the lost will be found (Come on)
So don't give up now
[Chorus]
Oh, help us to remember, our help comes from Heaven
God, when we surrender, we find all we need
Oh, strength in every weakness, in the Name of Jesus
Oh, it's not a secret, I fight on my knees (Tell the world that, tell the world that)
We fight on our knees
[Outro]
When the prayers go up (Lift your prayers up)
(I fight on my knees)
So don't give up
(I fight on my knees)

Conclusion

After listening to Fight On My Knees, we invite you to spend some time in prayer. Bring whatever is weighing on your heart to God and let Him lead you through it. In the song, Evan Craft also sings about the impact that prayer from someone else can have on a person’s life. This can be taken as a call for each of us to keep praying for our loved ones, and it can also lead us to ask for prayer from someone else. If you find yourself in need of prayer from a fellow believer, reach out to someone you trust. Whether it’s with a friend, a family member, or someone here at KAMB, lean into the power of prayer.

Zach Williams and Heart of God

Zach Williams

Zach Williams has been a rising star in CCM since the release of his debut album Chain Breaker. KAMB has gladly introduced his music to our listeners over the years, and we are excited to share more about him and his latest single Heart of God.

About Zach Williams

Before starting his CCM career, Zach Williams first pursued a whirlwind lifestyle of rock n’ roll. He discovered his talent for singing and songwriting in college while healing from an injury and eventually formed a rock band that took a toll on his life. He toured with his band, regularly used drugs and alcohol, lost his first marriage, and strained his second. Williams’ doctor even warned him that he could develop esophageal cancer if something didn’t change. However, it wasn’t until a bandmate started attending church that Williams made those changes. He and his family began attending the same church as his bandmate, and he rededicated his life to Christ.

While his commitment to the Lord was sincere, the transition into living a godly life was a challenge. Williams struggled to uphold his renewed commitments while on the road and ultimately walked away from his rock band. Upon returning home, Williams and his family began a fresh start. After spending six months as their church’s worship leader, he started writing new music for God. After leading a worship service one Sunday, Williams was approached by Jonathan Smith, a music producer and songwriter. After the pair talked, Smith invited Williams to Nashville. The two men were joined by another songwriter, Mia Fieldes, and the song “Chain Breaker” was written.

Around this time, Williams’ wife began sharing her testimony at prisons and encouraged him to do the same. After his first show for prisoners, Williams continued to return and released his six-song EP, Survivor: Live From Harding Prison. His long road back to the Lord and his experiences in both rock and Christian music have only strengthened Williams’ faith and testimony. He has received several Grammy nominations, has won an award for his single “Chain Breaker”, and has now released his second album entitled Rescue Story.

When I gave my life to the Lord, I realized He never left me, even in the dark times. For this new album, the title fits because every song in it has a rescue story. When you’re at your end of the rope, that’s when your rescue story begins. In my case, Jesus has been my rescue story.

Zach Williams

Heart of God

Heart of God is the latest release from Zach Williams’ album Rescue Story. This song is all about shooting down the lies that are too easy to believe and finding the love that God has waiting for us. Through Heart of God, Williams reminds us that God sent Jesus for us. He could have let us rot in our sins, but He offered us a way out instead. While the lies tell us that God could never want us, Williams describes the truth that God specifically came for us. In both song and Spirit, the Heart of God is all about redemption and drawing us closer to our Father.

Lyrics

I know you're hurtin', I can see it in your eyes
So pull back the curtain and take off your disguise
Whoever told you, you ain't worth the fight
The cross tells a story that'll change your mind
'Cause there's only love in the heart of God
No room for shame in His open arms
There's beauty from ashes, so come as you are
And there's only love in the heart of God
(Ooh)
(Ooh)
Come, prodigal children, it's never too late
Run home to the Father, let Him clothe you with grace
And bury your burdens, break free from your fear
Step out of the shadows, there's no judgment here
There's only love in the heart of God
No room for shame in His open arms
There's beauty from ashes, so come as you are
And there's only love in the heart of God
(Ooh)
(Ooh)
No, He's not sittin' there shakin' His head
Writin' you off, leavin' you lost
He's not sittin' there shakin' His head
Wishin' He'd never went to that cross
He's not sittin' there shakin' His head
Writin' you off, leavin' you lost
He's not sittin' there shakin' His head
He went to that cross, He went to that cross
'Cause He loves you so much
Ooh-ooh, yeah
There's only love in the heart of God
No room for shame in His open arms
He makes beauty from ashes, so come as you are (come as you are)
'Cause there's only love in the heart of God (heart of God)
No room for shame in His open arms
There's beauty from ashes, so come as you are (come as you are)
'Cause there's only love in the heart of God (heart of God)
'Cause there's only love in the heart of God

KAMB Artist Citizens

Citizens

KAMB Artist Citizens is back with new music in 2022! The Seattle group, formerly known as Citizens and Saints, has been making music since 2011. They got their start as a church worship band. Their lineup has changed a few times over the years, but the musicians currently in the band are Zach Bolen, Brian Eichelberger, Connor Hedge, Adam Skatula, and Dan Folgado.

Citizens are known for their unique sound, influenced by indie and alternative rock. According to Zach Bolen, who sings and writes for the band, the group likes to experiment with sounds and styles not often found in “church music”: “If you really want to write songs for the church, then don’t write songs just for the church. Just write songs.” The group hopes their music is approachable and allows individuals to meet God wherever they are.

Citizens

Their newest single, “Everything and More” (written by Zach Bolen, Brian Eichelberger, and Taylor Leonhardt from Mission House) is about experiencing God in new ways.

“Imaginations are crazy, but they give us something to aspire to, and in this case for me, it was expanding the walls that I’ve boxed God into. For me, this song is about my own deeper discovery of God, but I want the listener to hear it through their own perspective.”

Zach Bolen

The song is upbeat, with layered sounds, instruments, and lyrics encouraging listeners to think about God’s limitlessness. Watch the music video here:

I’m So Blessed by CAIN

CAIN band photo

Here at KAMB, we hope that our listeners are encouraged through every song that we broadcast. With a wide range of artists and new music constantly rotating through our station, a song or two may go unnoticed by our listening family. However, I’m So Blessed by CAIN isn’t a song that anyone will want to miss this summer. With catchy lyrics and joyful hearts, CAIN has created a heartwarming song about God’s daily blessings in our lives. I’m So Blessed reminds each of us that we can always be thankful for God no matter our circumstances.

About CAIN

Although CAIN is new to CCM, the band members have been together all their lives. The three siblings—Logan Cain, Taylor Cain Matz, and Madison Cain Johnson—grew up very close as “pastor kids” and were involved in the music during church services early on. When they were older, CAIN entered and won a music contest through cover songs. However, none of the siblings knew how to write original music and had yet to name their band. Their grandfather worked in country music publishing at the time and helped CAIN connect with others in the industry. After five years in country music, CAIN stepped back from the scene and helped with worship at a local church in Nashville. While there, a man from the congregation approached them about pursuing Christian music. The band went forward with the idea and signed with Provident Label Group in 2020. Since then, CAIN has received nominations for music awards, has been widely recognized in CCM, and has released their debut album, Rise Up.

I’m So Blessed

I’m So Blessed is one of the latest songs released from Rise Up. The song is richly upbeat as the band sings about the blessing to be found in our every day. So many things threaten to trip us up, whether in the morning or the evening, and it can be easy to dwell on our problems. Instead of getting stuck there, however, CAIN pursues an even better truth: I’m So Blessed. Perhaps these words have become a dull sound to some ears, but CAIN uses them to emphasize how much we have to be thankful for. In the opening lines of the song, Taylor Cain sings, “Trouble knocking at my door today, / I ain’t gonna let it in” and the chorus later continues, “‘Cause on my best day, I’m a child of God / On my worst day, I’m a child of God”. By pairing such lyrics together, CAIN reminds all of us that we get to choose what rules over our day. When we focus on our circumstances, we risk losing sight of God’s hand of blessing in our lives. But when we give Him the glory—regardless of our circumstances—we can joyfully say “I’m So Blessed.”

“We had eighty shows canceled in 2020 and it became kind of sarcastic—I’m so blessed. But for us, we say it in faith. You don’t have to be having the best day of your life to be blessed.”

Madison Cain Johnson

Song Lyrics

I'm so blessed (I'm so blessed)
Hallelujah, I'm blessed
I'm so blessed (I'm so blessed)
Hallelujah, I'm blessed
Trouble knocking at my door today
I ain't gonna let it in
And worry wanna steal my joy away
But I ain't gonna let it win
'Cause on my best day, I'm a child of God
On my worst day, I'm a child of God
Oh, everyday is a good day
And You're the reason why
I'm so blessed, I'm so blessed
Got this heartbeat in my chest
No, it doesn't matter about the rest
If I got You Lord, I'm so blessed
I'm so blessed (I'm so blessed)
Hallelujah, I'm blessed
I'm so blessed (I'm so blessed) (okay)
Hallelujah, I'm blessed
And when I count the problems that I see
Hope looks all, but gone (Yeah)
But when I count the ways You're good to me
You got me counting all day long
Oh, yeah!
I'm so blessed, I'm so blessed
Got this heartbeat in my chest
No, it doesn't matter about the rest
If I got You Lord, I'm so blessed
(Hey) I'm so blessed, I'm so blessed
Got this heartbeat in my chest
No, it doesn't matter about the rest
If I got You Lord, I'm so blessed
'Cause on my best day, I'm a child of God
On my worst day, I'm a child of God
Oh, everyday is a good day
And You're the reason why
(Hey)'Cause on my best day, I'm a child of God
On my worst day, I'm a child of God
Oh, every day is a good day (Every day is a good day)
And You're the reason why (Reason why)
I'm so blessed, I'm so blessed
Got this heartbeat in my chest
No, it doesn't matter about the rest
If I got You Lord, I'm so blessed (Sing it again)
I'm so blessed, I'm so blessed
And I've Got this heartbeat in my chest
No, it doesn't matter about the rest
If I got You Lord, I'm so blessed (Hey, yeah)
'Cause on my best day, I'm a child of God
On my worst day, I'm a child of God (Oh)

If I got You Lord
Hallelujah, I'm blessed
