We have great access to God’s beauty when we spend time in His Word. He often speaks to each of us differently, but He always unifies us in His Truth. One of the greatest blessings we have at KAMB is the opportunity to share biblically inspired music with you. Every artist we introduce on air shares our desire to encourage and inspire other believers like you. Still Waters (Psalm 23) by Leanna Crawford is one of our newest additions and we hope the Lord will speak to you through it.
Leanna Crawford
Songwriting became a key part of Leanna Crawford’s faith when she was a teenager. Her music allowed her to explore and process her faith, her relationships, her questions, her insecurities, and her trials. It was the one place that Crawford could make sense of the world around her. As an adult, Crawford pursues songwriting as her profession and her passion. She was first discovered while in college by CCM artist Matthew West. After signing with West’s label, Crawford released her first EP in 2018. Following her experiences under Matthew West’s guidance, Crawford signed with Provident Label Group where she released her second EP. Today, Crawford continues to write and sing for the glory of God. She desires to honor Him and inspire young girls in all she does. Crawford’s new song, Still Waters (Psalm 23), is a testament to this pursuit as well as a heartwarming reminder of God’s presence in the deepest valleys.
My prayer is that this album becomes a vessel of hope and grace. I want listeners to feel seen, understood, and hopeful through these songs – and as a result, encounter the transformative love of Jesus.

Still Waters (Psalm 23)
Anxiety is a crippling and demanding visitor. It shakes the very ground we stand on, and it threatens all sense of security. Still Waters is a call for us to return to the Lord’s peace and stillness despite anxiety’s arrival. The scripture Leanna Crawford draws from in this song is found in Psalm 23. In it, King David describes his assurance in the Lord’s presence with him.
Even though I walk
through the darkest valley,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me
—Psalm 23
David doesn’t claim that he never walked in dark places, nor that evil was far from him. In fact, he states the opposite is true. But what he holds to more tightly than his struggles is the reality of God’s presence in his struggles. David knew his peace was anchored in the truth of God, something that Leanna Crawford wants us to understand through Still Waters. When everything around us screams that God has left us behind, the Lord whispers, “I’m right here.” His gentle presence with us provides the peace we are often desperate to find. We can have this peace and recognize His whisper within the noise when we spend time in His Word. Once we know what He has said, we have His eternal Truths to hold onto. And it is when we hold onto Him and what He has said to us that we can rest at His Still Waters, no matter our circumstances.

Lyrics
Great Aunt Maurine said at a hundred and three
Write scripture on your heart for when you need it
Cause anxiety hates Psalm 23
So just say it to yourself ‘til you believe it
And I’m feeling like I’m needing it right now
The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want
He leads me by still waters ‘til my fears are gone
Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death
O I know You are with me
My father, my friend
Your goodness and mercy will follow me all of my days
I know by Your still waters I’m safe
Lord I believe You can set mе at ease
Turn this broken piеce in me to peace and quiet
I know there’s power in Your word
So I’ll say it over and over til my soul’s reminded
Oh The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want
He leads me by still waters ‘til my fears are gone
Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death
O I know You are with me
My Father, my friend
Your goodness and mercy will follow me all of my days
I know by Your still waters I’m safe
Still waters run through
Any valley I could find
I’m laying fear down
Here at Heaven’s riverside
Your word has been true
In every season of my life
I believe, yes I believe that
Still waters run through
Any valley I could find
I’m laying fear down
Here at Heaven’s riverside
Your word has been true
In every season of my life
I believe, yes I believe
Oh The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want
He leads me by still waters ‘til my fears are gone
Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death
O I know You are with me
My Father, my friend
Your goodness and mercy will follow me all of my days
I know by Your still waters I’m safe
