All of us at KAMB have so much fun sharing new songs of praise with our listening family! Every day is a new opportunity for all of us to praise God and expect the best from our Lord. Keith and Kristyn Getty are longstanding hymn writers who absolutely love the Lord and praise Him every day! Check out their latest song of praise, As for Me and My House!
Keith and Kristyn Getty
Keith and Kristyn Getty began their songwriting careers “in 2000 when Keith wrote the tune for ‘In Christ Alone’” (gettymusic.com). Together, the Gettys have written modern hymns of praise and worship for the Lord. They have also prioritized musical collaboration with other CCM artists while developing their own songwriting. For the Gettys, hymns are a way of bringing people together to celebrate the Lord. Their deep love for such songs of praise goes beyond their careers, though. In addition to their performances, Keith and Kristyn weave their love of hymns into their family and church dynamics. Worship isn’t just meant to exist in a public atmosphere; it’s meant for the privacy of our day to day, too. And the Gettys have intentionally carried their hymns everywhere they go.
Whether at home, in the Grand Ole Opry House, or before world leaders, the Gettys know what their true passion is: praising the Lord. Their latest collaboration with Cochren & Co. demonstrates this desire clearly as together they sing As for Me and My House.
As for Me and My House
As for Me and My House is another of the Gettys’ loving songs of praise to the Lord. Simple in its message but powerful in its impact, As for Me and My House is a new hymn you’re sure to love. Based on verses found in Joshua, this sweet melody draws the believer back to the foundations of our belief. Our faith starts with the Lord and our choice to believe Him. Either we serve Him, or we don’t. It’s that simple and that hard. Just like Joshua, we must choose whom we will serve. But it doesn’t have to be a choice of mourning; in fact, it should be a choice of celebration!
Choosing to serve the Lord is the best decision any of us can ever make. For He is our Good Father, Provider, and Savior (and these are only a few of His names). Following God isn’t a burdensome chore to complete, but a joyful decision that directs us for the rest of our lives. Choosing Him is the sweetest surrender we can ever know.
So, will you join the Gettys today and proclaim As for Me and My House, we will serve the Lord?

Lyrics
Oh, choose you this day whom you will serve
The kingdom of heaven or the powers of earth
Has He not spoken? Have you not heard?
There is but one true God
The God of our fathers set us free
His Son paid the price for our covenant peace
Through generations His mercy speaks
We trust in one true God
As for me and my house
We will serve, serve the Lord
As for me and my house
We will serve the Lord our God
This house is the Lord’s and all within
May we be pleasing and holy to Him
Joined by His Spirit His people sing
Great is the one true God
Oh, great Is the living God
As for me and my house
We will serve, serve the Lord
As for me and my house
We will serve the Lord our God
Oh, praise the Father, praise the Son
Praise the Spirit now in us
Let every heart and every tongue
Praise the one true God
Oh, praise the Father, praise the Son
Praise the Spirit now in us
Let every heart and every tongue
Praise the one true God
As for me and my house
We will serve, serve the Lord
As for me and my house
We will serve the Lord our God
As for me and my house
We will serve, serve the Lord
As for me and my house
We will serve the Lord our God
