Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! All of us here at KAMB/Celebration Radio hope that you are having a wonderful holiday season of celebration. As we step into 2025, let’s remember the hope we have in our Lord and Savior. As Josiah Queen sings and as each of us can prayerfully say to our Father, “You are My Promised Land.”

Josiah Queen

When Josiah Queen was 9 years old, he attended a large conference with his parents and felt the presence of God for the first time. From that point forward, Queen pursued his desire to write worship songs. He led prayer meetings and worship sessions, traveled with his mother when she preached, and recorded his debut song before the age of 18. As a young adult, Queen prayed for the opportunity to become a Christian songwriter. He began posting his songs on social media platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook.

Queen quickly grabbed his audience’s attention through his heartfelt and striking lyrics. As his popularity increases, Queen’s dedication to his songwriting continues to reveal his heart for the Lord. Like his other songs, My Promised Land points Queen’s listeners back to the Word and the hope we’ve been given in God.

My Promised Land

In My Promised Land, Josiah Queen describes the profound impact of a believer pursuing God and not the world’s offerings. A lot of what the world promises looks really good, but it often leaves behind emptiness and dissatisfaction. The Lord’s promises, however, bring life and hope. Deciding between the two becomes a matter of the heart: do I desire God above all else, or do I desire the world? My Promised Land is Josiah Queen’s answer, and it should be ours too. As believers, this world has nothing to offer us worth more than our relationship with the Lord. Our desires, feelings, and ideas hold no weight against the vast glory of God. He is our hope, our salvation, our Father. Apart from Him, we wander in darkness and confusion. With Him, we find joy and fulfillment.

May you be able to say, “Lord, you are My Promised Land” once you’ve listened to this song.

Lyrics

You had me standing on a mountainWalking through barren landsYou took my hand and You saidYou can have this worldBut I won’t go with YouOh, I won’t go with You

But I ran out of placesAnd feelings I was chasingAll I have is You and You alone

And I said, hold on, wait a minuteI don’t want what You ain’t inAnd I don’t wanna goUnless I’m going there with YouIt’s You there, rain or shiningYou’re the sun on my horizonYou are my everythingMy Promised Land is You

You, ooh-oohYou, ooh-ooh

One thing I ask, and this I’ll seekIs to live and to dwellIn the house of the KingAnd if that means that I leaveAll of my thingsThen I will go with YouOh, I will go with You

Where could I run, could I go?Your spirit will follow me down to SheolAnd the thing about the KingHe’s always with meSo I can’t run from YouBut I won’t run from You

And I said, hold on, wait a minuteI don’t want what You ain’t inAnd I don’t wanna goUnless I’m going there with YouIt’s You there, rain or shiningYou’re the sun on my horizonYou are my everythingMy Promised Land is You

And I said, hold on, wait a minuteI don’t want what You ain’t inAnd I don’t wanna goUnless I’m going there with YouIt’s You there, rain or shiningYou’re the sun on my horizonYou are my everythingMy Promised Land is You

You are my everythingMy Promised Land is You
