Sometimes life is full of one struggle after another, and we just can’t seem to catch a break. If that is where your heart is today, please know that you are not alone. Not only are all of us here at KAMB available to pray with you, but God is also near to you. You can call on His name today and know what Jon Reddick means when he sings about having No Fear.

Jon Reddick

Jon Reddick’s journey in ministry began when he was just a child raised in Tennessee. Reddick’s father was a pastor and his mother a pianist. With such strong faith influences around, he quickly turned to music for hope and encouragement. When he reached college, Reddick practiced his hand at songwriting in a contemporary gospel group. Shortly after college, Reddick pursued his passion and led worship at a church in Memphis before heading to Texas.

According to his website biography, Reddick has prioritized connectivity across racial and generational lines in every space he has filled. His deep desire for all churches and cultures to be united under their faith in Christ is an integral part of his work. Reddick wants everyone to have a sense of belonging, regardless of the songs they’re used to or the differences they have.

“We would fuse hymns and contemporary gospel. I wanted to try and bring people together no
matter what their differences were, wanted people to go to church and not just sing songs, but
find something they could engage with and have a true experience. I wanted to reach across
            the lines.”

It is with this attitude that Jon Reddick has written great songs like No Fear.

No Fear

Each of us faces different pressures every day. Maybe yours is a financial burden, an unexpected hardship, or a contentious relationship. It may even be a mix of all three and more. And when these things stack up against us, we are often tempted to accept defeat and live in fear of whatever’s coming. Instead of giving into such fear, Jon Reddick boldly declares the power we have in Christ in his new song No Fear.

Reddick doesn’t ignore his struggles, but he also isn’t paralyzed by them. Rather than focusing on everything going wrong in his life, Reddick puts his attention on the presence of God. Unlike the lies that fear spins, the Lord reveals the truth to us and keeps us in His perfect peace. Fear cannot stand against the Truth of God because He has the final say over everything. In Him, there is No Fear because He cannot be overwhelmed or surprised by our circumstances. And it is when we remember the Lord’s fearlessness that we can also be joyful and have No Fear.

Lyrics

I got enemies at every side
It ain’t lookin’ good, I ain’t gonna lie
Arrows flyin’, devil’s tryin’
To make me think I’m goin’ down this time
You might think that I’d be afraid
Runnin’ scared with a shaken faith
But the God I know says it ain’t over
The God I know is gonna make a way

Yea, though I walk through the valley
I will have

No fear (No fear)
No fear (No fear)
The mighty power of Jesus is fighting for me here
No fear (No fear)
No fear (No fear)
The light of the world makes the darkness disappear

No fеar
Not over my life, not over my lifе, not over my life
No fear
Not over my life, not over my life, not over my life

No fear when I’m walkin’ through the fire
‘Cause I know who’s walkin’ me through
No fear when the flood waters rise
If I got my eyes on You

No fear (No fear)
No fear (No fear)
The mighty power of Jesus is fighting for me here
No fear (No fear)
No fear (No fear)
The light of the world makes the darkness disappear

No fear
Not over my life, not over my life, not over my life
No fear
Not over my life, not over my life, not over my life

Not over my family
Not over my future
Not over my life
God’s over my life
Not over my battles
Not over my struggles
Not over my life
God’s over my life (No fear)
Not over my family
Not over my future
Not over my life (No fear)
God’s over my life (No fear)
Not over my battles
Not over my struggles
Not over my life (No fear)
God’s over my life (No fear)

Yea, though I walk through the valley
I will have

No fear (No fear)
No fear (No fear)
The mighty power of Jesus is fighting for me here (Fighting for me)
No fear (No fear)
No fear (No fear)
The light of the world makes the darkness disappear

No fear
Not over my life, not over my life, not over my life
No fear
Not over my life, not over my life, not over my life
No fear
Not over my life, not over my life, not over my life
No fear
Not over my life, not over my life, not over my life
