Cody Carnes
KAMB is excited to spotlight Christian Music artist, Cody Carnes and his latest single “Take You At Your Word,” co-written with Benjamin William Hastings and Aodhan King.
Cody Carnes is likely a familiar voice to the ear of Celebration Radio Family. He is a passionate worship leader & songwriter with a vision to bring hearts to the throne of Jesus Christ with each lyric or note of the melody. When not on the road touring, He and his wife, GRAMMY-nominee Kari Jobe serve their home church. They have two boys Canyon and Kingston.
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. John 14:6
Have you ever found yourself going through a time of blessing, yet fighting to enjoy that blessing to its fullest because you are concerned about the blessing from God running out?
It is easy to loosen our grip on the promises of God that are found throughout Scripture in times of concern and doubt. Cody spoke to PEER magazine recently and had this assurance,
“God can handle any question; you throw at Him. When you’re mad or frustrated He’s not offended. It’s beautiful to bring them to him.”
Take You At Your Word
“Take You At Your Word,” serves to remind us that the promises of God stand the test of time. The promises of God are strong enough to carry the weight of the heaviest trial on our shoulders. The energy of the driving drum beat with a powerful vocal delivery will push aside the clouds of your doubt and frustration; revealing the warmth found in the Son of God, Jesus Christ!
Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:31-31
God is good on His promise to see us through every challenge, every trial and He knows the plans He has for us. The hope for our future is in Jesus Christ alone.
God is not a man, that He should lie, or a son of man, that He should change His mind. Does He speak and not act? Does He promise and not fulfill? – Numbers 23:19

Lyrics
Your word is a lamp unto my feet
Your way is the only way for me
It's a narrow road that leads to life
But I wanna be on it
It's a narrow road but the mercy's wide
'Cause You're good on Your promise
Come on
I'll take You at Your word
If You said it, I'll believe it
I've seen how good it works
If You start it, You'll complete it
I'll take You at Your word
(Hey, hey)
Come on
You spoke and the chaos fell in line
Oh, I know 'cause I've seen it in my life
It's a narrow road that leads to life
But I wanna be on it, yeah
It's a narrow road and the tide is high
But You parted the water
I'll take You at Your word (woo)
If You said it, I'll believe it
I've seen how good it works
If You start it, You'll complete it
I'll take You at Your word
If You said it, I'll believe it
I've seen how good it works
If You start it, You'll complete it
I'll take You at Your word
You're good on Your promise
Yeah, I know
You're good on Your promise
You said Your love will never give up
You said Your grace is always enough
You said Your heart would never forget or forsake me
(Thank you, God)
Oh, You said I'm saved, You call me Yours
You said my future's full of Your hope
You've never failed so I know that You'll never fail me
I said, sing it again
You said Your love will never give up
You said Your grace is always enough
You said Your heart would never forget or forsake me
Hallelujah
You said I'm saved, You call me Yours
You said my future's full of Your hope
You've never failed so I know that You'll never fail me
I'll take You at Your word
If You said it, I'll believe it
I've seen how good it works
If You start it, You'll complete it
I'll take You at Your word
If You said it, I'll believe it
I've seen how good it works
If You start it, You'll complete it
I'll take You at Your word
'Cause You're good on Your promise
Hey, oh, You're good on Your promise
I'll take You at Your word
Let's go
Woo, Hallelujah
