On Celebration Radio KAMB we play songs by Christian artists that encourage listeners to know and follow the Lord Jesus Christ.
The current single on KAMB, Chris Tomlin – Thank You Lord (ft. Thomas Rhett & Florida Georgia Line), is certainly timely for this Thanksgiving.
With so much going on around us we forget to look upwards and thank the Lord for all that He has done.
Chris Tomlin is a contemporary Christian music singer/songwriter who wrote his first worship song at fourteen. He has won multiple GMA Dove Awards and a Grammy Award in 2012. Chris Tomlin co-founded Passion Conferences in 1997. Tomlin is currently with Sparrow Records. To purchase music or catch his latest tour, go to christomlin.com.
Thank You Lord is a selection from the Chris Tomlin & Friends album released in 2020. Chris Tomlin wrote this song and is accompanied in the recording by Thomas Rhett and Florida Georgia Line. Chris wrote,
“It was a dream to record a song like this. Worship comes from a thankful heart, and there’s so much to be thankful for.”

Thank You Lord for the small things Like me and her on the porch swing For summer nights and fireflies And the sound of my old sixstring Blessings on blessings on blessings on blessings If I still got breath in these lungs And that's all I need to get down on my knees And be thankful for all that He's done CHORUS For my mama for my friends For Your love that never ends For the songs that make us dance On this ole dirt floor For my babies for my girl For the way they changed my world Waking up today I just gotta say Thank You Lord I just wanna say Thank You Lord Thank You Lord for the hard times For lighting the way in the dark times For pulling me in forgiving again The times that I took it too far God I thank You for keeping me humble For picking me up when I stumble And although I change, You stay the same And I don’t say thank You enough CHORUS Praise up Eyes closed One thing I know I just wanna thank You Lord, thank You Lord Praise up Eyes closed One thing I know I just wanna thank You Lord, thank You Lord
We are commanded in scripture to be thankful:
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 give thanks in all circumstances.
Philippians 4:6 pray with thanksgiving.
Psalm 9:1 give thanks with all my heart.
Colossians 3:15 And be thankful.
Let’s rejoice and thank the Lord for all that He has done for us!

About the Lyrics
The song by All Creatures – [Wonder Working], reminds us that we belong to an amazing, “wonder-working” God, and He is good! Exodus 15:11, “Who is like you— majestic in holiness, awesome in glory, working wonders?”
The song tells us to remember all the miracles we’ve seen and to stop being so stressed! Psalm 77:11, “I will remember the deeds of the Lord; yes, I will remember your miracles of long ago.” As they say, “I’ve seen too many comebacks to believe that it’s not gonna happen again!”
In Joshua 4 the Israelites set up stones of remembrance they had collected from the Jordan as they crossed over into the Promised Land. They set these stones up as a memorial to the people forever. We too should write down the miracles God performs in our lives so that we can refer back to them and remember that we belong to a wonder-working God! Read the complete lyrics below and be encouraged!
I've seen so many miracles
Praise, hands to the sky, get your hopes up high
'Cause with God it's a regular thing
I've seen so many plot twists, I've stopped trying to guess how He's gonna move next
Just lean back with the lions, cookout in the fire
I don't have to be so stressed
Anytime it looks too hard
I've learned to lift my eyes to the stars
'Cause the Maker of it all, He made my heart
Oh, I belong
To a wonder-working God
Making a way like only He could
And all I can say is God is good
Oh, I belong
To a wonder-working God
Trading my chains for victory
My God is working a wonder in me
I've seen too many comebacks to believe that it's not gonna happen again
Flipping numbers on a scoreboard, listen to the crowd roar
You already know who wins
Every day I'm gonna sing about it
Not just gonna talk, I'm gonna live about it
I'm always in awe
Of my wonder-working God

Give me peace when I am tossed and frightened Lost among the waves Give me hope when I am doubt and fears are Clouding up my faith Would You come and move the mountains 'Cause I'm too weak to climb Promise that You're with me in this fight I can hear the thunder, but I'm okay 'Cause You're with me I know You will cover me, I'll be safe 'Cause You're with me I'll be okay I'll be okay I'll be okay I'll be okay Tragedy could hold the sharpest blade Against my skin Threatening to open all the wounds I've tried to mend Would You come and be the healer That I know I've seen before You've promised me that I can be restored CHORUS Make me okay Make me okay Make me okay Make me okay
