The music we choose to play on Celebration Radio KAMB not only professes faith in Jesus Christ through the lyrics but also through the artists’ personal testimony.
KAMB is all about sharing God-honoring music with our listeners. Today, we have the opportunity to tell you about Austin French and his latest single, Jesus Can.
Austin French has been a familiar voice at KAMB since he released “Freedom Hymn” a few years ago. Before the success of his musical career, though, French was a young boy struggling to understand the truth about Jesus. French grew up in a home surrounded by Christians and regularly attended church. However, despite his exposure to Christianity, he hated anything to do with it. On the About page at his website, French says, “Our family was the family that pretended to be perfect on Sunday but was falling apart behind closed doors.” Due to such conflicting behavior at home, French associated all Christians with that hypocrisy. Everything changed when he was 13 and attended a church music camp. While there, he repeatedly heard the message, “Don’t judge Jesus on the broken people He came to save.” Since then, French has dedicated his musical talents to serving God.
In 2014, French participated in ABC’s singing TV show Rising Star. After the show ended, he pursued a career in CCM. French spent a few years working on his music and writing while also developing his ministry. During this time, he signed a record deal with Fair Trade Services and released his debut single in 2017. The single, “Freedom Hymn”, quickly climbed the Billboard charts and attracted lots of attention. A year later, French’s first album followed and also ranked highly on the Billboard charts. Today, French continues to create joyful worship songs about God’s love and grace. His latest hit is his new song Jesus Can.
Jesus Can is Austin French’s joyful anthem about the transformative power of Jesus Christ. The song begins by describing some of the pain French faced as a child. He battled with fear, uncertainty, and heartbreak as he navigated a life of tension at home. Through these opening lyrics, French draws us into his story and later invites us to reflect on our own in the following verse. Wrapped around all of these heartbreaking realities, though, is the truth of God’s love and redemption. For every hurt, sorrow, and fear, God can—and does—provide an answer: Jesus.
Our God sees us for who we are, and He meets us where we are. Even more, He leads us out of our chains and into His freedom. Unlike self-help books and motivational quotes, Jesus removes the burden from us and delivers us Himself. In fact, because of how powerful French knows Jesus’ message to be, he’s decided to write a book based on the ideas in this song. No matter how hopeless a situation may seem, Jesus Can.
I’m an artist whose life has been radically saved through a very desperate situation…. That’s the goal of the book and this song, to share my history and my story. When you think you can’t make it out, Jesus can make a way.

Picture this, an eight year old kid growing up in Georgia Having a hard time with the world that he was seeing Coming home from school Scared to death and always wondering What kind of mood his dad would be in That kind of home can do a number on you Mom and dad broke up, and I guess I broke too I grew up thinking nothing good could ever come From a story like mine But who turns a broken dream Into a life redeemed? Who can turn your worst defeat Into your victory? Who saw me where I was And led me where I stand? My life is living proof that only Jesus can Everybody's got that hurt they wished that never happened Everybody's got that pain they wish they could undo But wounds become scars and scars become stories And when it comes to the story of you Who turns a broken dream Into a life redeemed? Who can turn your worst defeat Into your victory? Who saw me where I was And led me where I stand? My life is living proof that only Jesus can Only Jesus can save me Only Jesus can change me Only Jesus can take me From lost to found Hallelujah, I'm singing There's no stealing my freedom He picked up all the pieces Look at me now Who turns a broken dream Into a life redeemed? Who can turn your worst defeat Into your victory? Who saw me where I was And led me where I stand? My life is living proof that only Jesus can Oh (ooh, ooh) Oh, thank You, Jesus (ooh, ooh) Come on Only Jesus can save me (ooh) (Only Jesus can change me) Only You can change me, Lord (Only Jesus can take me) ooh From lost to found (Hallelujah, I'm singing) (There's no stealing my freedom) There ain't no stealing my freedom My life is living proof that only Jesus can
Life offers all of us a lot of ups and downs as we go about our business. At times, the crush of our problems and the pain in our circumstances leave us in a position of hopelessness. If you find yourself in such a desperate place, remember the promise of our Lord: He will never leave us or forsake us. Perhaps you can’t find a way out of your situation or a solution to your burdens, and that’s okay. Instead of focusing on everything you can’t do, lift your eyes to the promise that Jesus Can.

As artists continue to release new music, KAMB is thrilled to share it with our listening family. The latest hit that has turned our ears and warmed our hearts is Wholehearted by We Are Messengers.
Throughout the years, We Are Messengers has released heart-nurturing music with a refreshing sound. Originally from Monaghan, Ireland, Darren and Heidi Mulligan had a long faith journey prior to the band’s success. It was years into their relationship before Heidi became a Christian, and another year before Darren joined her at church and was also saved. Darren had already been a touring musician for some time, but now he would use his talents to glorify God. The couple started the band in Ireland, but We Are Messengers wasn’t established in CCM until their relocation to Nashville, Tennessee.
In 2016, We Are Messengers released their first album (under the same name) and had their first experience with success. Since then, the band has released two additional albums and an EP. The band has shifted over the years with the addition of new members and the loss of previous ones. However, We Are Messengers remains dedicated to its original purpose: honoring God and sharing His Truth with others through music. Their latest album perfectly demonstrates this through their song Wholehearted.
In the song Wholehearted, We Are Messengers leads us away from our point of view and brings us to God’s. We all have a past full of experiences that speak into who we are today. Some of those experiences are filled with joy and laughter while others smother us with fear and shame. We remember the bad decisions we made or the harsh words we spoke, and we use those moments as evidence that we are undeserving of love and forgiveness. We even allow them to haunt us and to strip away the peace God offers. Unlike us, though, God doesn’t use the score of our sins against us. Instead, He is Wholehearted in His love for us.
God sees us at our worst, and He doesn’t run away. He knows exactly who we are and what we’ve done—the good and the bad—and still, He stays. Even when we deserve to be left to our sins and guilt, God looks at us with love and offers us grace. We Are Messengers’ point is clear: God isn’t going to leave us and He’s waiting with open arms to catch us.

No matter what your story is or how your walk looks, remember that God absolutely loves you. Nothing is too great, too powerful, or too awful to keep Him from us. Even at our worst, God offers His grace and shields us from the shame that cripples. Before you let yourself believe the lies of guilt and fear, remember the One who carries your burdens and look up. His love for you is Wholehearted and He’s waiting for you to let Him catch you.

There is a great new song filling the airways! Here at KAMB we love sharing new music with you and we know you will love this one! This week you’re invited to take a closer look at Jeremy Camp and his latest hit, Anxious Heart.
Even if you are new to KAMB or to Christian Music you likely know the name, Jeremy Camp. “I Still Believe,” a film based on Jeremy’s life detailing his first wife, Melissa Lynn Henning-Camp’s, diagnosis and subsequent battle with ovarian cancer shortly before they married, still shapes his ministry after more than 20 years.
Finding ways to raise our anxiety levels doesn’t take much effort these days. It is easy to feel overwhelmed, exhausted by worry, and the only voices we hear are the ones inside our own minds which never offer much in the form of comfort. In an article for aleteia.org, by J-P Mauro, Jeremy spoke of his own battle with crippling anxiety.
“My daughter got the yellow fever shot and she got really sick … The doctor told me ‘you know, your daughter can die from the shot’ and so all my fears just came to a place where it was boiling up…”
“1,000 people responding to the Gospel, so rad things were happening. But inside, I just had this overwhelming fear and worry and just overprotection of the kids.”
“Here I am, I’ve been a Christian my whole life, gone through hardships and seen God be faithful in massive ways. Watching my wife die, telling her to go be with Jesus and then for him to be faithful to walk me through it. So I’ve known he’s there.”
Jeremy’s life has been full of trials and triumphs. God has been glorified through every moment and has used his journey to bring thousands of His children to Himself. In his new song, “ANXIOUS HEART,” Jeremy perfectly illustrates both the reality of the panic that sets in under the pressures of anxiety and a way to be free from the entanglement of its web.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6
Many of us, especially men, find ourselves claiming “trust in God,” all the while painstakingly striving to control every aspect of our families, finances, and our futures. Gods’ desire for us is to have a relationship with Him where He is in full control of every aspect of all those things. He also has an amazing way of getting our attention!
If you struggle with an “ANXIOUS HEART,” let me encourage you, take a few moments to listen and find the truth found in the lyrics of this song.

Locked up and I’m so in my head
Heart starts racing and I can’t slow it down
Hands shaking and l’m losing my breath
Paralyzed with a mind spinning out
My strength has grown weak
No words left to speak
I fell to my knees
Cause I know what I needYou are the light when my world goes dark
You hold me together when I’m torn apart
And when my thoughts have run away too far
You’re the calm for my anxious heart(oh, oh-oh, oh, oh, oh)
You’re the calm for my anxious heart(oh, oh-oh, oh, oh, oh)
You’re the calm for my anxious heart(oh, oh-oh, oh, oh, oh)Wrapped up in the arms of Your Love
Stilled by the silence above all the noise
Burden’s light when You’re lifting it up
Fear is terrified by the sound of Your voice
Cause You don’t grow weak
Your word is peace
I fall to my knees
Cause I know what I needYou are the light when my world goes dark
You hold me together when I’m torn apart
And when my thoughts have run away too far
You’re the calm for my anxious heart(oh, oh-oh, oh, oh, oh)
You’re the calm for my anxious heart(oh, oh-oh, oh, oh, oh)You know everything about me
You come and surround me
And everything that holds my soul
Falling is surrender
Learning to remember
You’re the One who’s in control
You’re the light when my world goes dark
You hold me together when I’m torn apart(Eh)
And when my thoughts have run way too far
You’re the calm for my anxious heart(Yeah)
You’re the life when my breath is gone(You are)
You’re the hope when I’m stuck in the storm(Ooh, Ooh, yeah)
And I know this is still who You are(Yeah)You’re the calm for my anxious heart(Oh, oh-oh, oh, oh, oh)
You’re the calm for my anxious heart(Oh, oh-oh, oh, oh, oh)
You’re the calm for my anxious heart(Oh-)
