There is a great new song filling the airways! Here at KAMB we love sharing new music with you and we know you will love this one! This week you’re invited to take a closer look at Jeremy Camp and his latest hit, Anxious Heart.
Even if you are new to KAMB or to Christian Music you likely know the name, Jeremy Camp. “I Still Believe,” a film based on Jeremy’s life detailing his first wife, Melissa Lynn Henning-Camp’s, diagnosis and subsequent battle with ovarian cancer shortly before they married, still shapes his ministry after more than 20 years.
Finding ways to raise our anxiety levels doesn’t take much effort these days. It is easy to feel overwhelmed, exhausted by worry, and the only voices we hear are the ones inside our own minds which never offer much in the form of comfort. In an article for aleteia.org, by J-P Mauro, Jeremy spoke of his own battle with crippling anxiety.
“My daughter got the yellow fever shot and she got really sick … The doctor told me ‘you know, your daughter can die from the shot’ and so all my fears just came to a place where it was boiling up…”
“1,000 people responding to the Gospel, so rad things were happening. But inside, I just had this overwhelming fear and worry and just overprotection of the kids.”
“Here I am, I’ve been a Christian my whole life, gone through hardships and seen God be faithful in massive ways. Watching my wife die, telling her to go be with Jesus and then for him to be faithful to walk me through it. So I’ve known he’s there.”
Jeremy’s life has been full of trials and triumphs. God has been glorified through every moment and has used his journey to bring thousands of His children to Himself. In his new song, “ANXIOUS HEART,” Jeremy perfectly illustrates both the reality of the panic that sets in under the pressures of anxiety and a way to be free from the entanglement of its web.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6
Many of us, especially men, find ourselves claiming “trust in God,” all the while painstakingly striving to control every aspect of our families, finances, and our futures. Gods’ desire for us is to have a relationship with Him where He is in full control of every aspect of all those things. He also has an amazing way of getting our attention!
If you struggle with an “ANXIOUS HEART,” let me encourage you, take a few moments to listen and find the truth found in the lyrics of this song.

Locked up and I’m so in my head
Heart starts racing and I can’t slow it down
Hands shaking and l’m losing my breath
Paralyzed with a mind spinning out
My strength has grown weak
No words left to speak
I fell to my knees
Cause I know what I needYou are the light when my world goes dark
You hold me together when I’m torn apart
And when my thoughts have run away too far
You’re the calm for my anxious heart(oh, oh-oh, oh, oh, oh)
You’re the calm for my anxious heart(oh, oh-oh, oh, oh, oh)
You’re the calm for my anxious heart(oh, oh-oh, oh, oh, oh)Wrapped up in the arms of Your Love
Stilled by the silence above all the noise
Burden’s light when You’re lifting it up
Fear is terrified by the sound of Your voice
Cause You don’t grow weak
Your word is peace
I fall to my knees
Cause I know what I needYou are the light when my world goes dark
You hold me together when I’m torn apart
And when my thoughts have run away too far
You’re the calm for my anxious heart(oh, oh-oh, oh, oh, oh)
You’re the calm for my anxious heart(oh, oh-oh, oh, oh, oh)You know everything about me
You come and surround me
And everything that holds my soul
Falling is surrender
Learning to remember
You’re the One who’s in control
You’re the light when my world goes dark
You hold me together when I’m torn apart(Eh)
And when my thoughts have run way too far
You’re the calm for my anxious heart(Yeah)
You’re the life when my breath is gone(You are)
You’re the hope when I’m stuck in the storm(Ooh, Ooh, yeah)
And I know this is still who You are(Yeah)You’re the calm for my anxious heart(Oh, oh-oh, oh, oh, oh)
You’re the calm for my anxious heart(Oh, oh-oh, oh, oh, oh)
You’re the calm for my anxious heart(Oh-)

As Christmas quickly approaches, the joy of the season sounds aloud through the halls of Celebration Radio. KAMB is looking forward to the new year and all that God has in store for us, but in these last few moments of 2022, we want to highlight an artist that will propel you, your kids, and your grandkids into 2023.
Ellie is a friendly familiar voice heard regularly on KAMB. Her solo debut, As Sure As The Sun (2014), landed her a Top 10 hit on Christian radio with “The Broken Beautiful” and a GMA Dove Award for “New Artist of the Year.” Since then, she has been hard at work. She has released three full-length albums of music and three children’s books with accompanying (EP) musical projects. Her latest release, Sounding Joy, became available on September 20th this year. (B&H Kids/B&H Publishing Group).
Sounding Joy, is a creative dive into the question; what does joy sound like? The reader travels through a beautiful Christmastime story full of life wonderfully illustrated by Laura Ramos. Christmas is celebrated in a way that only Ellie could do. She encourages each reader, young and old, to lift up their voice and repeat the sounding joy!

Ellie keeps a full writing, touring, and performance schedule, while being a wife to fellow musician, Drew Holcomb, and a mom to their three kids. Ellie shared with The Christian Beat,
“My book and album (Sounding Joy) were inspired by the song ‘Joy to the World,’ and it’s an invitation to sing about the hope we have because God put skin on and moved into the neighborhood,”
Ellie Holcomb
She is full of energy and successfully imparts that same energy into this song that will get you dancing through your kitchen as you prepare the Christmas goods and keep you singing long after the dirty dishes are clean and put away in the cupboard.

“Sounding Joy” Written by Nathan Dugger and Ellie Holcomb
What does joy sound like? Is it quiet like snow? Does joy sound like the laughter of friends that you know? Is joy like the sound of a kiss on your cheek Or like holding your breath when you play hide and seek? Maybe joy sounds real loud like a” Hip Hip Hooray!” Or a whispered “I love you” at the end of the day? Well, joy sounds a little like all of these things, But a long time ago joy sounded like wings Sounding joy, joy, joy! If you can imagine, on a dark winter’s night, The sky filled with angels all shining with light And suddenly the shepherds and sheep down below Were surrounded by songs from that heavenly host Glad tidings! Great Joy! We are never alone God sent His Son to make heaven our home So, every Christmas, each girl, and each boy Could lift up their voice and repeat SOUNDING JOY Sounding joy, joy, joy! Sounding joy, joy, joy! So, every Christmas, we string up the lights To remember the way that those angels shone bright And we sing all the songs, and we bang all the drums To remember the day that God sent his Son Glad tidings! Great Joy! We are never alone God sent His Son to make heaven our home So, every Christmas, each girl, and each boy Could lift their voice and repeat SOUNDING JOY Sounding joy, joy, joy! Sounding joy, joy, joy! Sounding joy to the world, the Lord is come

One of the wonderful traits God gave my wife, Tracie, is that she’s a “foodie,” that is, she loves to be in the kitchen making meals. This works out well, since I love to eat what she makes. Her meals seem to always turn out like the winning meal in a Food Network challenge.
When it comes to Thanksgiving morning, Tracie wakes up early to begin preparing the greatest meal of the year. I learned early in our marriage that it was in my best interest not to disrupt this process. Tracie works tirelessly, ensuring the turkey is golden brown and well-basted while each side dish looks like the highlighted feature of a food magazine. At the table, everything looks divine, the savory aroma blankets the house, it is a meal fit for royalty.
It’s helpful to know that Thanksgiving at our home is also the official start of the Christmas season. To avoid disrupting Tracie’s work in the kitchen, I head to the garage and pull down the tubs of Christmas decorations we accumulated over our seventeen Thanksgivings together. I listen to music while checking strings of lights, sorting through ornaments and garland, and untangling extension cords. To be sure, I am no Clark Griswold of Merced. No, my goal is simple – calmly accomplishing a necessary task while staying out of the kitchen!
For us, Thanksgiving is a day for family, food & reflection. With each passing year, I am more grateful for the gifts God has given me in this life. I have been blessed beyond measure with my wife and family, my friends, and my work. I have seen God’s goodness and provision in ways that only He can provide. Thank you will never be enough; I simply strive to make the most of every breath He gives me on this earth to glorify Him!
