On Monday May 20, 2013, a destructive tornado carved a devastating 17 mile path just south of Oklahoma City, OK in the city of Moore, OK. This storm was over a mile wide and had winds in excess of 200 mph. It flattened neighborhoods, schools, businesses and much of the landscape looks nothing as it did prior to the storm. According to the OK State Medical Examiners office, 24 people lost their lives including children.
